After an extensive search, my wife Melinda and I have signed the paper on a Gardenia! We can't wait. We will be moving down in about a year. Perhaps someone can give me some info on what to prepare for to leave the house unoccupied over the summer.

Can't wait till we become full time residents.

After an extensive search, my wife Melinda and I have signed the paper on a Gardenia! Perhaps someone can give me some info on what to prepare for to leave the house unoccupied over the summer.

We leave our house in TV unoccupied over the summer. We use Village Watchdogs to check on it, and to take care of our golf cart.
They can tell you everything you need to do. I believe they advertise on TOTV. We uplug everything electrical including the fridge. We put Comcast to sleep, and adjust our HWH. We deactivate our garage door. Put oil in the drains and cover. Also we have a humidistat which saves money on air conditioning.
