Who Got What They Wanted From The First Clinton-Trump Debate? : NPR (http://www.npr.org/2016/09/27/495539022/who-got-what-they-wanted-from-the-first-clinton-trump-debate)
Trump did look a little better than usual but still Hillary Clinton held her own and was for the most part rather forthright while Donald Trump continued to lie about various matters.
Still cannot see how we can just believe him about much of anything.
He will make the rich, richer though including himself and his family of course. He already has that in the bag though. Very smart man.

This comment from your link...sums it up perfectly.
By contrast, Trump had just one salient objective — to project a calm and presidential air — and yet, he struggled with it.
Not that he will lose any of his base however, as they have shown to be very much like Trump...in their nasty demeanor and inability to be civil. :ohdear:

It was a tag team , two on one, and Trump still won. It's over.
Imagine, no Clinton Foundation, no smashing 13 blackberries, no deplorables, no Clinton womanizing and yet Donald still won.
That will be the last moderating job for that loser.
I hope the tech guy at Hofstra loses his job too.

I really doubt that. He had trouble moderating the debate.
And the mic sounded OK to me. Trump was as loud as usual.

The trouble was in his mic and the studio audience speakers, which is a problem for any public speaker.

Do I detect that some are complaining Trump was not as political and nice-nice like the crony establishment?
That is why so many support him.
We are tired of the corruptocrats (just saw this word this mornig and it is so appropriate) and do nothing politics as usual crony crooks and felons.

Sorta a function of one's position is it not.
Trump did not and does not fit or follow the establishment's political profile.
While Clinton fits not only the establishment, she represents all that is wrong with American politics.
She also fits the profile for a felon and a chronic, criminal liar..."fact check".....FBI director said so on national television.
Clinton was the epitomy of the political version of robo-calls.

Clinton just stood there like a 7th grader who has memorized a poem to recite .
Her phony smiles and the " sista -like " coded shoulder shake move was very rehearsed .
Lester Holt was so very much in her pocket that he should have been sharing the podium with Cackles .

I agree, but I have faith in Trump's ability to handle anything they throw at him. Unlike the sissies on the left, he can take a punch. He has already blown away 16 professional politicians to get where he is now. If he can't take care of a pathetic loser and mental cripple like Hillary after fighting the GOP establishment, then the system is impossibly rigged.
If Hitlery wins, then America must endure four more years of famine, and no other woman will ever be elected again. Just like Obama, and his making it impossible for any black man to get elected again, due to his poor performance and dividing of the country down racial lines.
If Trump wins, it will be against great odds and it will be historic. He will have beat professional politicians, political pundits and hacks, as well as the ESTABLISHMENT. He will be another of the great presidents of BOTH parties, not just one party. He will be a leader of ALL the people, not just the white or the black or the Latino. He won't be casting blame on any American citizens, in defense of our enemies. He will not apologize to foreigners like the current poser. Even the Democrats will respect Trump, just as they respected Reagan. He is NOT a Reagan, he is a Trump and will go down in history as his own image, not of someone else.

All of this discussion about Trump not being a politician and spinning it to be positive bothers me.
First, I agree Trump is not a politician.
But let's understand something. Executing policy within government is an art or science.
It is 180 degrees from running a business, and in Trumps case it was not a corporation, but a private business.
I see no positives for him here. In his company, he made and approved any budget or spending for example. In government, congress takes his suggestions but they make the final decision.
Remember also...everybody brings up Reagan...he served as gov before running for President,.
For Trump to be effective, and remember his loud mouth will get nothing positive done, he will need to learn the art/science of politics.
He cannot make arbitrary decisions. He must go through congress and honor the constitution.

So a law degree makes one prepared for the political circuit?
So a MD makes one prepared for the political circuit?
I think you are a bit biased and small minded if you believe that only specially schooled people can handle politics. You obviously have forgotten the current poser in the White House. On the other hand, perhaps he proves your point.

I don't think, NO I KNOW that I never mentioned any degree or occupation, and in fact made reference to an actor, Reagan.
Nobody is disqualifying based on occupation, but I was responding to (at least I think I was..so much crap inserted) comments praising Trumps ability to be President because of his business experience.
From those comments, many seem very naive to the fact that running a PERSONAL, not ven public company is light years from being President. He is not liable to anyone in running his own business..he can change his budget, alter his plans at anytime in anyway.
Point is..those who think he can are being a bit conned, as he answers to congress, the constitution, and the people and has many steps to take to do anything. He also cannot bully other soveriegn nations and in fact, if tried is terribly determental to our country.
Thus all the talk about what he did in a private, specialized business is irrelevant.

And again, Regan was a Governor of Cal. So even he knew that governing is different than ruling. Romney was Governir of Mass.

"The Arizona Republic has endorsed Hillary Clinton for president — the first time the newspaper has backed a Democrat in its history.
The Republic's editorial board writes that Clinton understands what the position demands: "a steady hand, a cool head, and the ability to think carefully before acting." And it pointedly concludes that her Republican rival, Donald Trump, does not."

Electing Hillary to lead a country because she has experience, is like hiring a bank robber to manage a bank because he has experience handling other people's money.
Bad experience, or failure in this case are not qualities anyone should want running their company or their country. She is irresponsible, unreliable, unethical, dishonest, a pathological liar and a thief. Hardly qualifications for leader of the world. Possibly leader of Venezuela or Cuba, but not America.

Go back to your "breibart" type sites.
We are electing someone to execute policy. Trump does not even know what that means.
And you know what...would you like to share tales of eac candidates...irresponsibility, unreliability, unethical behavior, dishonesty, examples of pathological lying, and thievery ?
One thing..I am game but as we need to back up our claims in as much detail as possible...we cannot quote their opponent or campaign, and it cannot be a feeling...must show facts.
I can do Trump very quickly.
And you know, we have two choices only...two. I assure you that our comparison of qualities you mention, Clinton will look saintly in that comparison....sad but true.

If that is what you think, then you are a fool. You are too ignorant or too stubborn to learn anything about the criminal on the left. I figured that since you knew how to express yourself on here, then you would be intelligent enough to know something of the liberal candidate. I was wrong, you are either ignorant of her record or you flat refuse to acknowledge it. A liberal in denial.

The Politics of ‘The Shallows’ - WSJ (http://www.wsj.com/articles/the-politics-of-the-shallows-1475192583)
the author Peggy Noonan is 66 and has seen quite a bit.
What impact has the modern media environment had on the 2016 campaign? I know that’s a boring sentence, but journalists and politicians talk about it a lot, journalists uneasily and politicians with frustration. The 24/7 news cycle and the million multiplying platforms with their escalating demands—for pictures, video, sound, the immediate hot take—exhaust politicians and staff, and media people too. Everyone is tired, and chronically tired people live, perilously, on the Edge of Stupid. More important, modern media realities make everything intellectually thinner, shallower. Everything moves fast; we talk not of the scandal of the day but the scandal of the hour, reducing a great event, a presidential campaign, into an endless river of gaffes.
