There could be a misprint in there somewhere. No way a "much improved" house in TV sold for $30,000. I know that's the historic district, but the developers are paying people WAY more than that for disastrous homes that they're going to demolish.
Another explanation is that a divorcing couple is splitting equity (or other various explanations).

It might been foreclosure?

It appears you are right. If you type 402 Tarrson, The Villages Florida it comes up with this;

Address not disclosed, Lady Lake FL, 32159 (Foreclosure #318245834) | Homes.com (http://www.homes.com/property/lady-lake-fl-32159/id-318245834/)

They sure did a great job on fixing it up. It looks brand new and is very open and has great finishes.

I wish the villages would put Sq foot of lot in listing. I find it extremely annoying.

Of course you can find it, but I wonder the reason for their decision not to put this simple critical information on a listing, seems most if not all multiple listings in the country include it.

Of course they are smarter than me, they have figured out something, maybe they get more calls if they don't include it.

Still, annoying nonetheless.

Especially annoying when they say "oversized lot."

The son probably may have it from the estate for the balance of the mortgage.

It does. It also has new wallboard walls as opposed to the paneling that most of the older manufactured homes have.

I'm sure that the $30,000 price had to be some kind of family transfer. Maybe the son bought out a siblings share.

But if you look the home was refurbished before they sold it for $30k.....not after....

I don't see where it was a forclosure......

Since it is another rainy day here at the Jersey Shore, I did some sleuthing around re this property and found:

The quick and dirty of this home is that it was owned by Mr/Mrs Olin and dghtr/SIL the Carattinis; there was a forclosure action implemented 9/1995; the action was finalized 2/1996 in favor of the bank and was voluntarily dismissed/released by the bank 3/1996.
Apparently the Olins both passed away by 3/2013 and ownership appears to have gone to dghtr Dorothy Carattini who was then able to sell it - and did so 1/2016 for $30,000.

Info was available by searching records found at:
