IRUT (AP) — Russia warned the United States Saturday against carrying out any attacks on Syrian government forces, saying it would have repercussions across the Middle East as government forces captured a hill on the edge of the northern city of Aleppo under the cover of airstrikes.

Russian news agencies quoted Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova as saying that a U.S. intervention against the Syrian army "will lead to terrible, tectonic consequences not only on the territory of this country but also in the region on the whole."

___

Associated Press writers Nataliya Vasilyeva in Moscow, Albert Aji in Damascus, Syria and Jan M. Olsen in Copenhagen, Denmark, contributed to this report.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------This is what 8 years of Obama has brought us . We are so weak that Russia a much downsized USSR can now tell us what to do !
And voters want another 8 years of this weakening of our country ? They wouldn`t have said such a thing when Reagan was in charge .

JUST BE AWARE

"Congressional Republicans have avoided getting behind their Democratic counterparts' calls for an investigation of Donald Trump's alleged ties to Russia — but not because charges. The Daily Beast reported Friday that Republican congressional staff said "Trump and his aides' connections to Russian officials and business interests haven't gone unnoticed and are concerning" to GOP lawmakers.

Yet, Trump likely won't face the scrutiny his advisers have. The Daily Beast reported that although GOP lawmakers apparently reviewed Democrats' "written requests to the FBI that it investigate Trump before they were made public," they didn't sign on, possibly in the interest of avoiding a probe into their party's nominee."

Donald Trump's alleged ties to Russia might slide by without an investigation. Here's why. (http://theweek.com/speedreads/652182/donald-trumps-alleged-ties-russia-might-slide-by-without-investigation-heres-why)

It IS real folks..only thing that makes me feel even slightly less nervous would be tax returns..who he owes in Russia and how much

"It has been an odd day for Newsweek – its main site was taken offline after it published a story claiming a company owned by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump broke an embargo against doing deals with Cuba.

The magazine first thought that the sheer volume of interest in its scoop was the cause for the outage, but quickly realized that something more sinister was afoot.

The site was being bombarded by junk traffic from servers all around the world, but the majority came from Russia, the editor in chief Jim Impoco has now said.

"Last night we were on the receiving end of what our IT chief called a 'massive' DoS [denial of service] attack," he told Talking Points Memo.

"As with any DDoS [distributed DoS] attack, there are lots of IP addresses, but the main ones are Russian, though that in itself does not prove anything. We are still investigating."

The story, written by staffer Kurt Eichenwald, detailed how former employees of Trump Hotels had arranged a visit to Cuba in 1998 to explore the possibility of joint ventures with the communist regime. A consultancy company called Seven Arrows made the visit, and the funds to pay for the trip were then allegedly hidden as a charitable expense.

Shortly after the story was published, traffic on the site started to rise – as you'd expect in a presidential season with serious allegations being made. But the traffic count continued to rise and eventually brought the site down.

As with any DDoS attack, finding the culprit is nearly impossible. But it appears that the article has ****ed off a lot of people who control many Russian servers. ®"

Probably by now, you have all heard of Carter Page, the ex advisor to Trump who has been in Russia "negotiating".

This is one of the number of articles written about this mysterious guy, and this exert is interesting.

"What I did find, however, is that while Page might not be helping Trump, Trump has been a significant help to Page. Since being named by Trump as an adviser, Page, who has spent his career trying to put together energy deals in Russia and the former Soviet Union, has finally begun to be noticed in the region. He is being treated in Russia as a person with potentially important ties in America. “He’s an extremely well-informed, authoritative expert on Russia,” says Mikhail Leontiev, a pro-Kremlin talking head and spokesman for Rosneft, Russia’s state oil giant. “People really respect him in this industry. He’s a very serious guy, and he has a good reputation.” According to the Yahoo report, U.S. intelligence believes Page had an audience with top Russian officials—including Rosneft head Igor Sechin—during a summer trip to Moscow. From what I could find about him, it’s hard to imagine he could have secured those meetings without that mention by Trump.

Obviously this post and those from the John Birch society identify you allegiances.

It seems this candidacy is part of..well, when I was younger the Russian folks, fact from Putins old KGB group...

They said, no worry on the Cold War....that they will destroy our country from within....seems as you listen and watch, they are on it.

As long as you folks are aware.

Clinton is a horrible candidate, BUT

Folks on here sarcastically suggest conversation on ISSUES.

This is a BIG issue. Russia is not our friend. To have a candidate have such obvious ties with them. To have had 2 campaign managers with such strong ties to them. To have a recent advisor IN Russia mysteriously negotiating, and that candidate refuse to give his income tax, which would identify who he is indebted to and how much, compounded by he never denies his being in debt to Russia.

"Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has refused to release his tax returns, leading one former congressman from Kansas to fear that Trump may owe millions — maybe even hundreds of millions — to Russian oligarchs."

Wow, this thread went from Russia and Syria to liberals attempting to divert the whole thread to Trump's tax returns. Liberals can't address issues because they lose just like Hilary. Hillary attacks without addressing any issues. Why? Because she did NOTHING in the last 30 years and now attempts to lie to America about how she wants to suddenly start doing something.

If this is truely an adult, and not some kid....and you believe this is all about how much tax Trump paid.....if you have no concern about the facts being presented, and will be...if a possible congressional investigation, not into how much taxes he paid, but serious involvement with Russia...and you think this is not an issue..

I guess you deserve the consequences of your words and actions.

How much stronger is the US military compared with the next strongest power?

1,000 times. Maybe more.

No other military or combination of militaries could even begin to inflict the slightest numbers of casualties on the United States military in a conventional war.

Consider: The U.S. spends close to what the entire rest of the world spends in defense. $711 billion. Per year. The next closest is China at $143 billion.

The M1 Abrams tank has seen more combat than just about any other tank on the battlefield today. It has never been knocked out by enemy fire. (Completely killed). Ever.

China has less than 500 Type 99 tanks, that have just been developed, and are not even close to being as good as the Abrams. We have 8,700 Abrams.

We have 10 aircraft carriers. The good kind. Everyone else has 10. Combined. And they are mostly small ships that can launch helicopters.

There are 8,400 attack helicopters in the world. The U.S. has 6,400 of them.

The United States has engaged in every type of ground warfare in the last 20 years. From mountains to jungles, and from desert to urban, we have the some of the most experienced warriors in the world. No other country comes close to the amount of combat veterans that we have.

We own all the satellites that guide GPS systems. We have all the advanced stealth technology. The latest sensors? U.S. The latest information systems? U.S. An Abrams tank can see a target, the tank commander can instantly send that target to every tank in his company.

Now you have 14 tanks looking for you. Oh, and it also uploads to every Apache helicopter in the area. Every indirect and direct fire system in the area knows what you are and where you are. Your survivability just dropped to 0. Instantly.

Why don't Trump supporters know this? Because Trump does not tell them. It doesn't fit his narrative about how weak and terrible the USA is today.

Twitter addict Trump never posted one tweet during the Summer Olympics competition acknowledging how well the U.S. athletes were doing and how they were leading in medals. That didn't fit his narrative either.

That is not fair and I suspect you know that.

Let me explain.

When someone poses a point about the Russian thread, YES THE SUBJECT GOES TO INCOME TAXES, because..,no big words, just follow along, it appears Trump has significant debt and interest in that country.

Even you can understand the seriousness of having the President of the US PERSONALLY IN DEBT FOR MAYBE BILLIONS to Russia.

So, anytime Russia and that threat is brought up, there will be comments about taxes and it is more than legit.

Same thing goes for Iran and Turkey as he also may have debts there...he DOES have serious business interests there.

I can recall all the weeping and gnashing of teeth over Obama having family in Kenya. Yet it seems acceptable for a potential President to be in heavy heavy debt with people who are at odds with every single foreign policy we have. Who wants dearly to dismantle NATO, which seems also to be ok with the candidate who owes billions there.

And all that blowing about weaponary means NOTHING WHATSOEVER without our alliances, which if course Trump wants to dismantle.

So before you mock people, YOU have to understand the issues, and despite what he says, they are not as black and white as he wishes.

When the Orlando Nightclub was shot up he was on twitter he wrote "Appreciate the congrats for being right on radical Islamic terrorism, I don't want congrats, I want toughness & vigilance. We must be smart!." He made it about him.

And to be fair and balanced we want the same democrats who did Clinton's testimonies including the same FBI agents that did all of Clinton's investigating to do Trump's.

I did not mention Clinton.

I did not defend Clinton.

Your post is typical of what makes any adult conversation on this forum, or for that matter with most Trump supporters anywhere.

You do not seem to grasp something.

There are millions of people who, like you, do not approve of, nor support Hillary Clinton in any way.

However, what you do not see is...as bad as Clinton is, Trump offers to this country a horrible future.

Those who know him well, and quotes are available to valid links, say how dangerous and self involved he is.

Those who love this country live in fear of his potential election.

Those who love this country, have given their life to this country, either literally or otherwise fear him.

These people do not fear him because he tries to present a non politician...that would be great.

That group of millions, who do not support, nor defend Clinton, have investigated and KNOW the havoc he would bring.

Now, I understand the hatred, etc you feel for Clinton, but you are so tied up in that hate, you have lost your vision.

Trump plays on that and is using it.

Is this election good, or even fair to us Americans. Not even close. We have a lousy choice for sure, but if you would please read about this man...understand that what he promises is IMPOSSIBLE, and that is why not one economists not on his payroll support anything he says.

That is why not one single newspaper will support him.

He is backed by radicals who will treat you to a conspiracy theory every day.

Diverting verytime someone says something about Trump, even though validated sinks you further into the morass he is creating.

He tells you that someone else is at fault...the whole world is against him. Think logically and you can see what voodoo that is.

I know your mind isn't going to change, but at least, if you are going to sell your soul to this punk, at least read a bit and understand that people know how bad Clinton it is, but they have not lost their mind. They see the immense danger.

"The Trump Organization's dealings with the Iranian bank shed more light on Donald Trump's wide-ranging business interests, which sometimes stand at odds with his blunt declarations on the campaign trail. Trump has denounced Iran as a "big enemy," blasted Hillary Clinton for not taking a harder line against the Iranian regime and charged that donations from foreign governments to the Clinton Foundation amounted to evidence of corruption. His five-year stint as Bank Melli's landlord provides an example of the Trump Organization itself doing business with a government hostile to the United States.

"It's a pretty hypocritical position to take," said Richard Nephew, who served from 2013 to 2015 as principal deputy coordinator of sanctions policy at the U.S. State Department and spent nearly a decade working on Iran sanctions in the administrations of George W. Bush and Barack Obama. "It suggests that his principles are pretty flexible when it comes to him getting paid."

Really not one single newspaper has supported Trump, or just not the ones you like?

The immense danger is more welfare that the 48% of us that fu(%ing work for a living can't afford, more political corruption and erosion of ethics (Clintons consider themselves above the law), some gay ass liberal superior court nominee that will be fine with people marrying their siblings (why stop at gender), and etc.

If you vote for someone that you are sure is "bad" thru experience (as opposed to you have been told they are bad by the some liberals on a newspapers editorial board); you have lost your mind.

My vote is with Trump!

Not one single newspaper !

AND, in fact......most do not endorse Clinton.

They simply find Trump to me mentally unfit.

But to answer your question......NOT ONE SINGLE NEWSPAPER ON THE PLANET...

except for the online support from ISIS
