Had a plumbing emergency last Friday night about 9PM. Called my "24 Hour" plumber Kiley & Sons and left a message. After 30 minutes left a similar message at Mike Scott plumbing. Scott called back in 20 minutes and promised a tech before midnight after analysing the problem on the phone. Tech arrived about 11:15 and solved the problem after 90 minutes of hard work.
Kiley called about 10AM Saturday. This reminded me that Kiley did not respond in the same fashion about 4 years ago when a main water supply line broke. In that instance I found a way to divert supply past the break so the next day response was only irritating. It seems to me Kiley is not a "24 hour" plumber and should stop advertising as such.
We owned a business in a "24 hour" industry for many years. We analyzed the results of that service after 2 or so years and decided it was not a contributor to success. We dropped it and never looked back.
We've been pleased overall with Kiley's work over the years but the extra effort extended by Mike Scott when we needed it means he gets our future business.
