I am planning a cruise with Royal Carribbean leaving from Fort Lauderdale. Any suggestions on transportation from The Villages; don't want to take my car.

Try Cruise Connection or Yankee Trails. Both run from near the Villages to the ship terminals.

Check with your travel agent. We are cruising in Feb and AAA has a shuttle service arranged. You can also check with Villages Transportation, Signature Coach plus there are private cars available. Do a search on here and I'm sure you will find threads.

I find it easier to rent a car one way from the villages.

We have used Yankee Trails twice, but they don't operate that route year round - I believe they start late October and end early April to coincide with the main Caribbean cruise season

Hertz. Usually $75 one way.

Hi, Yankee Trails, we heard, goes from near the Lowe's store to the ships at the cruise terminals. So you can find and contact them direct. It is supposed to be a comfortable bus so maybe this will help.
