Drywall from China

Does anyone know if the drywall used in the Villages was from China. I heard about this drywall today. It may have been discussed here before as I only stop by from time to time. I sure hope I am worrying for nothing. Happy Easter

There was a very scary report last evening on Inside Edition showing all the damage done and devastating illness resulting from the drywall/plaster-board imported from China.

I was thinking the same thing and am glad you posted the question. This is a serious concern for anyone purchasing a home built within the last several years. :eek:

I don't know the answer to your question. :shrug: I just read an article on this earlier today. It sounds like scary stuff.

Below is a link to a site about WCI who claimed bankruptcy over the drywall situation. I haven't heard any reports of the dry wall situation in The Villages.
My guess is that if there was a problem here the attorneys would be at every golf cart stop sign.

Seems like people would have noticed a problem by now. We've visited many homes in TV that have been built in the past few years and never noticed any odd odors.
