Driving to New York

Due to a medical issue up North, I'm planning to drive by myself. I have two small dogs and the cost of boarding is prohibitive, plus don't know how long I would have to stay. I'll be on I95 -- any suggestions as to pet-friendly motels would be greatly appreciated. :doggie::doggie:

Do a double check and make sure you will not be running into road problems due to the recent storms. Also, sorry you cannot get treatment here, did you check the Ocala, Leesburg, and if necessary the Orlando areas?

Fan of Motel 6 but you need to check on the location as to freeway convenient. Cross country and back with no,problems, wife and 2 dogs.

Many people advised us to use La Quinta and we were very happy with their advice. People on TOTV are the greatest. Good luck with your trip. La Quinta is a dog hotel that accepts people.

Red Roof inn,, They are all pet friendly,, Plus they don't change you for the dog,,,

Many Drury Inns allow dogs and they include a full dinner with a few drinks and a full hot breakfast. We love Drury Inn! If you Google "pet friendly hotels or motels" and the city you will find many options in larger cities. Safe travels!

LaQuinta allows TWO dogs free.
Red Roof is pet friendly, but we've found that some RRs are nice and some are questionable.
We haven't found any Drury Inns on I-95.

Be careful about "pets allowed" hotels and ask the price before you book.
We've found that LaQuinta is the only chain where two dogs stay free.
Some chains charge a very hefty pet fee, as much as $50 per dog!

We always stayed at Hampton Inn. They wanted $35 for our dog to stay overnight. Its a business decision and we hold no grudge towards them. Many of their hotels could stand to be updated now or shortly. I would have never stopped at La Quinta but we were amazed how clean and up to date the rooms were. More or less a hundred a night and a safe place for your dog to walk you. I forgot but it was Barefoot, GE, and dbussone who advised me on this important matter. You won't be disappointed.

Most Best Westerns are pet friendly. Always call ahead and understand if is an additional pet cleaning fee
