Um. Center picture is the dump next to Volusia and Escambia. Need a new navigator!

Reminds me of a trip I took in an S-2 with the Navy. Flying back to Moffett Field from China Lake with a newish pilot getting ready for his check-out and his trainer, we could hear the trainer asking the pilot where he was and he said he was approaching the SF Bay area since he could see the lights near Moffett. The trainer said, "Um, no. That's Monterey."

Good day for flying, eh?

To give some context to pictures 1 & 3 taken by twoplanekid, here are the plans for Trailwinds Village.

Photo 1 and 3 is over the new Barclay Trailwinds project, but where is photo 2 taken? You have what appears to be vacant lots in the NW corner, so that can't be Evans Prairie. I'm thinking it's down by Belle Glade Golf Course southern end near the Village of Osprey or the eastern edge near Pine Ridge, although I don't see the power lines. There is also a lot of defined ponds, most of those areas are filled with marshes. Then you have this huge area in the middle that appears to be a resource for trucks to load dirt, gravel, etc.

That's the dump between the Volusia and Escambia golf courses.

Many Thanks to the developer and excavators, and the City of Wildwood. While I do understand that this progress, it would seem that they could practice being a good neighbor and make a serious effort of dust mitigation. We power wash our birdcage and lanai area, almost daily now, the airborne dust created by this project, settles in and if there is any moisture we leave muddy footprint. I can watch the 12 off road dumps running and being trailed by a cloud of dust, the same with the bulldozers. They do have one water vehicle that seems to make a pass every 3 or 4 hours. It sure would be nice to have some considerate developers.

Do you happen to have a flyover pic that shows all/ most of the golf courses in a single photo?

What golf courses are you referring to? Google earth has a good view of everything as of January 2016. When I return to TV in December, I would be happy to take current and close up pictures of a specific area. I don't fly that high to cover everything in one picture.

I looked at Google Earth. Was trying to determine if there was a pic that covered all/ most of the courses from north to south. Was thinking of getting something framed that highlighted all or most of the courses. Realize that might be difficult. Did a few searches to determined if there were some out there. Did not appear that way. Thanks

Don't think the Cub could get quite high enough to do that! :a20::a20:

That sounds like a job for a U-2 spy plane.
