When friends plan to vote for opposite party nominee?
No. Not at all. Some people you just cannot get to see the light especially if they are family members or close friends.

If it does, then you were never truly friends. Best advice this election cycle---only discuss politics with like minded individuals. If you want to argue and get abused, log onto the political forum:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

That is prudent advice. I have former union school teachers living on either side of me, so I do not discuss politics with either of them. Both are Dems, even if neither like Hillary. They seem to be still planning to vote for her though. I didn't ask. I figure we still have a few more years of decent living in The Villages before the large migration from the North of lemming liberals ruin our semi-Utopia. It's interesting how Yankees move South because they like the lower cost of living, the lower crime rates and the decent and moral people.....and then attempt to change it.
I read an article in Reader's Digest years ago about how women will marry a man that excites her, and then spend the next 30 years changing him. Once she succeeds, she no longer respects him so she walks out on him because he is not the man she married. Analogy of the liberal cancer.

It all depends.
If they were intolerant, bigoted, racists, misogynists, homophobes or spouted false conspiracy dribble that they read on the mass right-wing e-mails they receive or only watch Faux News for their information...they aren't/weren't my friends to begin with.
What's trickier, is when they are related...and those kinds of things show up on their Facebook pages.
In those cases, I just un-follow them.
There are a lot of folks that I otherwise like and enjoy, of whom I have an idea (but whom don't spout it) that they are one or more of the above and in which...I just refuse & avoid all political discussions.

Perfect example of the kettle calling the pot black.
I have plenty of liberal friends and do not hold it against them that they are naive. I do not use nasty adjectives to describe them, because they are my friends and I accept them. Obviously, you do not feel the same. I guess being liberal in your case does not mean being inclusive.

Anyone who has read your prolific posting here in the PF, know that you are lying.
You use plenty of "nasty adjectives" to describe those left of you.
Besides, I don't believe being intolerant, a bigot, a racist, a misogynist or a homophobe...are even nasty adjectives.
They simply are what they are.

Reading comprehension, perhaps? Did you not understand my post, or did you just skim over it seeing the poster's ID and decided to spout off? I said "friends" in case you missed it. In your case, you are neither friend nor foe, and free game.

I never played a trumpet so I guess I am not a "trumpist." :1rotfl: I bet there are plenty of liberals that have played the flute though...:1rotfl: My bad.
I am a conservative and plan to vote for Trump tomorrow and I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. :icon_wink:
Thank goodness that the liberal vote in the Villages will no effect on Hillary getting elected. If Hillary pulls off a win, it will not be due to votes from the Villages.

Your relationship changes a bit, you wonder how they arrived at the conclusion that their candidate was a good choice.. Have they not been listening, have they lost their mind?

Absolutely not, unless they attack me personally for my political beliefs, and then absolutely so.
Don't call me stupid, naive, gullible or suggest that I am less patriotic, un-American, or wicked. Just give me facts and reasons why you think I am wrong in an honest attempt to convince me that you are right.

I have friends who are politically opposite of me. There is an understanding between us, no discussion of politics or religion.

Because you're BOTH wrong. Funny...politics and religion...the two most important parts of many people lives...and we "can't" talk about it. Because THEY don't want people thinking too hard about them. We'd find out about all the bullsh!t they're pulling on us.
The other verboten subject is equality. We're not, so we can't discuss it.
The BIG lies are forbidden from being questioned.

If you had any common sense you would know you can't change there opinon or mine. Maybe you think we should get out guns and settle it. Politics and religion are two of the worst subjects to talk about.

If, all your friends agree with you, YOU NEED SOME NEW FRIENDS.
As i see it, if you only talk to people who agree with you, YOU MIGHT AS WELL TALK TO YOURSELF.
In my OPINION in the next election, we will choose between TRUMP a capitalist and HILARY a socialist.
IT IS TRULY THAT SIMPLE. For the ladies who want to break the glass ceiling. Are you willing to sacrifice our country for that? Hillary has already demonstrated that were the Clintons not somehow above the law SHE WOULD BE IN JAIL. THERE WOULD BE NO WAY SHE COULD GET SECURITY CLEARANCE.
READ about WHITEWATER, TRAVELGATE, MONICA LEWINSKY, JENIFER FLOWERS, MOINIHANS DAUGHTER,

We have had a lot of friends, but two couples who essentially disowned us because we are voting Republican.
Yes, they dropped us but so be it. Was it Mark Twain said if you meet ten persons and one turns out to be a friend, you are doing very well.
So the Demos that we used to call friends, have this in common:
1. Were totally irresponsible in their line of work I will not disclose their jobs. 2. Lived off of and mooched well into adulthood from the parents who were very nice.
3. Cheated on their taxes, cheated on each other, cheated on anything they could.
4. Ran from responsibility when the parents aged and needed significant help.
Real winners,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I mean losers, but good Leftists.

There are two factors here in the election and choices.
Being President and taking a big part of running the country is a very responsible job, takes initiative and business skills etc.
1. Mr. Trump has significant background in business and is a grad of Wharton business school. He has built and developed massive projects beyond the scope of understanding of a lot of people.
2. Hillary has proven that she is a LIAR, a Thief, a conniving person who should be in JAIL. She lost her law license, she has been involved in so many major schemes and lies. Her claim to glory according to her boss is:::,,,,,,,,,,,,She traveled to over 100 countries.
Travel is not an accomplishment, hauling your kid and your friends around the world, spending millions to support the sleazy efforts of your husband is not really much of a goal.
Please think about this before you vote.

We live in a CYV and have 13 units on our block. I was just outisde talking to two neighbors who have already voted. From what we know, everyone on our block is voting for Trump.
I have a neighbor one block over who I play golf with and he's a major liberial. He was for Bernie and when he heard that Bernie might drop out of the race, he said he didn't know who he was voting for because he didn't like Hillary. I mentioned I came from Baltimore and our former Mayor Martin O'Malley and also he was former Maryland governor was running for president. He said, I can't vote for him because he was in charge of the Baltimore Police and they treat the blacks terrible.
I don't know if he's now voting for Hillary since Bernie is out, he hasn't said anything other than talk down about Trump. It's amazing, I'm trying to help him decide on a Democratic candidate and all he can do is make fun of who I'm voting for, it just goes to show how Democrats think they are so superior to everyone else.

Only really ignorant people, view an entire group on their own anecdotal experiences of that groups worst examples.
Anyone, from ANY demographic, can find examples that show another demographic in a poor light.
Smart people learn not to be so narrow-minded...as to paint with broad brushes.

Which business is that? All 13 units on my block are voting the same, for Trump. No problems there.
My golfing partner I posted "I don't know if he's voting for Hillary", what part of I don't know if he's voting for Hillary don't you understand?

So far in Sumter, Marion and Lake counties, Republican votes outnumber Dem votes over two to one. And there have been record lines, which usually indicate Dem voting in early voting. Not this time. Maybe they are waiting until Nov 8th, right?

Some demographics ARE the poor light. The MAJORITY are in a poor light. Lets be honest about it.
