We were heading home, stopped, light changed but the ole boy was not responding, looked over and could see a blank stare, after checking on my sweet boy realized I needed to drive. Acknowledged all the patient drivers behind us, got out and opened driver door, and then car shot across this MAJOR crossroad, missing lightpost, giant rock and stopped in decorative pond as I was racing to catch him, falling flat on my face. Amazingly, NO ONE entered the intersection, observing crazy people in a white car. Immediately the Villages friends, and strangers went into action. A sweet little nurse stopped and gave support to my Dougie. Thank you, thank you all. First responders were so caring and I'm so thankful for living in such a caring community. We suspect it might have been a TIA, and baby aspirin might be the answer. Will see neuro tomorrow. Thank you all.. I didn't think it was possible to love this place MORE, but I do!:clap2::clap2:

So glad that both you and your husband are reasonably ok. I can understand your dilemma as I've had a TIA that led to a stroke and luckily the symptoms were recognized quickly and I wasn't in a position to injure myself or others. I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.

We also passed that scene, we are so glad your husband is ok. Now, how are you?
Running, falling, and going through all that is VERY stressful. Hope you are okay.

Just had a TIA myself and fully recovered. I can only guess how frightening it must have been for you in a car, no less. So glad you are both ok, and, yes, we are blessed to live in this wonderful home town.

Your guardian angels were sure looking out for you! So glad no one was seriously hurt. My Mom had her first TIA (transient ischemic attack--clot is temporarily blocking the vessel) in February and was started on Eliquis. Good luck!

That's so very true. So glad that you and your husband are OK.
My father had a little scare with his heart over the weekend but it turned out to be nothing serious. Knock on wood. Trip to the ER. Late dinner. Etc. And calls to distant relatives.
Would be nice to have a nurse very handy. :1rotfl::icon_wink::bigbow: The cuter and more empathetic, the better.

This is the best description yet as to why I don't give a "hoot" nor "hollar" as to who wins the election, We live in the Village's a wonderful country of its own who sets the standard as to what life and living is all about. :clap2:

Doug is still in a bit of a fog. I tell him about the wonderful people that stopped to give aid and hugs. Thank you first responders for your assistance in helping the love of my life. To the sweet lady that gave comfort and hugs. To all of you with your prayers and sweet thoughts.
After seeing doctor and given Rx, will continue to improve. The biggest incentive to improve will be taking the driving duties away from me, ha!
xoxoxo to all of you.
