I am sure that there are many happy people living in Stonecrest, hence I am not trying to flame anyone. I just wanted to relay a personal experience and try and save some people from making the costly mistake my mother did.
My mother and step father had decided to move to florida. They had visited the wife and I several times here in TV and liked the area. They decided that TV homes were too close together, it was too busy here, and that they could buy a much larger home for the money in Stonecrest and then just come to the town squares etc and it would almost be like they lived in TV.
I tried my hardest to talk some sense into them , but fell on deaf ears. They moved about a year and a half ago. Within 3 months they knew they had made a big mistake and put their home up for sale. Their biggest complaint, among others, was that their neighbors were very unfriendly:cus:. When the moving van unloaded their stuff , the neighbors just kind of came out into their yards to gauk. They often had negative run ins with their neighbors.
It took them well over a year ( and a loss of MANY thousands of $)to sell their Stonecrest home. Today they moved into their new home in Poinciana. Their new Villages neighbors could not be more friendly :beer3: Almost their whole street has come by to introduce themselves, bringing food, welcome cards, inviting my step father into their golfing group as the snowbirds are starting to leave. They could not be more overjoyed with their decision to come to TV. Lately my mother has gone into poorer health and it does my heart good to see her enjoying life again.
Thank you, florida's friendliest hometown. You people continue to amaze me.
