It is sad that so many US Taxpayers do not seem to be aware of the incredible money spent by the Clintons, the Big O, the Congress on travel and the luxurious high life. My background in Aerospace and University teaching was this:
Any engineer in Aerospace and any faculty or Administrator at Universities usually can easily abuse the travel issue. By that I mean slight their job and do the travel and goofing off big time. OK what does this mean? Every and I do mean EVERY upper level Engineer and EVERY faculty or Administrator that was frequently buzzing off on trips was usually a piece of deadwood on the payroll and usually caused major projects and programs to fail. Yes, I do know about responsible travel. I was in Aero for 15 years, was a Tenured faculty and Dept Chair for 15 years. I almost never traveled, had too much work to do.
