We need to transport a car from TV to Long Island NY
Has anyone used a car transporter ? I filled out a rate request on line and have had at least 50 phone calls in the last 2 weeks.

Any info would be helpful

When I looked into this I found out that I was dealing with a broker, and NOT the actual company that would be transporting the car, this was a deal breaker for me ( and my classic car). We ended up transportation the classic car by having to moved with the household furniture ($$$$), and the rest of the cars (yes we have several) were moved vis the autotrain. This probably does not help you, but if I were you, I would do s Google search for a dedicated automotive mover, and then when I call make sure you are talking to the actual entity that will be moving your car. Be aware that this will typically be more expensive then using a broker.

Out of the 13 companies I spoke with I found many just scared the crap out of me. Like give them the keys and hope you see your car again, or call multiple times and threatened you they were coming to get your car now. I did find a company advertising on totv, Monarch. First person I spoke with I did want to change my phone number and go screaming into the night. Give them a call you will be pleasantly surprised, no threats, and a nice person who only called me once. Prices were in the middle of the road of all companies.

You could start here - they all move VERY high dollar cars.

I have used Dependable Auto Shippers in Linden N.J. about a dozen times. They all are trucking companies you are alway rolling the dice. They did well by us overall.

Hi, from bbbbbb
You might check with Bruce Ice, in the paper, Iceman Movers, he moved us and our car in his very large enclosed van. Good guy and dependable.

In may of 2015 I had a good experience getting my car shipped from T.V. to Dartmouth Ma.
I met driver behind Publix on Saturday. He took photos as did I, and put my car on hauler with about five others. He was going to Miami and thought he would have the car in Ma. by Wed. It was delivered (Thursday) to a family member in Dartmouth Ma.

The price was less than $700. and there was no middle man (broker) involved. Driver kept me in the loop through out with text messages.
