Drive up to the visitor side and tell them what your doing. They always let you through.

You don't really need a gate pass as the streets don't belong to TV, they belong to the County. Visitors are always permitted. I think the gates are just to intimidate people.

If there are no gate attendants, just push the button... either the gate will open or the central command post will reply and open it for you.

I could not find any button when we were there last week, or maned gate, we are moving into Orange Blossom. Any hints as to where the button would be, someone mentioned that the only buttons were in Sumpter County

As you are coming up to the gate unmanned gate you will see in most cases a Visitor side and a Resident side there will be a post with a panel press the Red button and someone will answer you shortly and open the gate. now that you are in if you are with a big truck over night you will need to park it some place that is not in the way ie fire trucks, Ambulance etc ask a neighbor maybe ok at pool/mail box area Or put some Old Bay on it as it gos with everything

Good luck welcome and the very best to you

No - use the manned gate three blocks North on Boone Ct. and turn right just after clearing the gate and come back the three blocks.

Right The County owns the roadways. The gates are to give a false since of security to new comers and to those that are old and need some security in their lives. The gate attendant should just be there for directions. The path closest to the shack should be for the visitors or those who are lost.
The other gates that are not manned should have closed circuit TV sets in operation to help ID anyone who might need to be Id'ed. Still LOVE the Villages in spite of this dumb way of doing things.

The Boone Gate is open and manned from 0700 till 2300. The Shay Gate is open 24 hours a day. The button is not currently working at the Boone Gate but I doubt you will arrive after 11 PM or before 7 AM.
