I just heard Eric Bowling from Fox news, whom I consider one of the bigger blowhards on cable news, cheering on a trillion dollar infrastructure spending bill now that Trump is President elect. After crucifying Obama everyday for 8 years for deficiet spending, I cannot remember such a hypocrite. To those of you who stood in line to buy his book recently I'm worried for you. There are riots in some of our cities while stock market is on a tear because of the antisipated government spending frenzy. Only in America

You really have no grasp on reality do you? But, if you are in the markets I suggest taking stock in companies than make personal arms - and caskets.

The Market is on a 'tear' as you put it, because of the perception that Trump will eliminate ObamaCare and the onerous regulations place on businesses by the Obama administration.

The bond market has suffered losses because of the perceived strength and growth of the economy under a Trump administration. Interest rates rise in a strong economy and bond prices fall. That's the way it's ALWAYS been.

So 1 trillion in extra government spending will not have impact on stock market? Sorry I don't care if you teach economics government spending has been driving stock market for 8 years and will continue to until rest of world wakes up.

No I'm not a very shrewd investor , I use target date funds. I do know the difference between earned and unearned income though and unearned income has been booming because of deficiet spending and government lending money at near zero percent for 8 plus years. You apparently don't agree with that, and that is ok. We just disagree.

He plays fast and loose with the rules, like all developers. He'll push the limits if the repubs let him, then he'll go too far. I don't think he'll last his term. I do hope his agenda with the illegals and EPA pass muster but cutting taxes hoping for trickle down just ain't gonna work. As far as social security, the repubs ultimate agenda is elimination. You are just full of B.S. aren't you? Please supply us with some quotes from all those Repubicans that wish to "eliminate" Social Security. Should I allow you a few days, weeks, months to research to see if you can find a hint of a quote?

Trump will have experts advising him. You all just can't seem to get it, he won the Primaries and he won the General. You said he couldn't do it. You should be going to church to praise God for delivering us from evil (Hillary). No one said Trump was perfect, but compared to what the left has had to offer in the last 40 years, he looks pretty good. Maybe you should take a lesson from him. He was a Democrat and is now a Republican. He learned something, so maybe you should also.

No, you said that they want to eliminate SS. Get it correct or don't make false statements.

No one said Trump has always been a Republican. Who cares? If he is a RINO then liberals should support him. What's their excuse for preferring a criminal traitor over Trump?

I am for changing SS to a Thrift Savings Plan like the gov offers it's employees and the military. Not only has it proven to work very well, but it would also boost the market, making it more stable. Not that I know anything of the market. I made pretty good money from it, but that was not due to my expertise.

I'm completely against privatizing any part of SS. It has to be one for all and all for one otherwise a lot of people will get screwed which in turn will screw us. People today can barely scrape by let alone save for retirement. It needs to be a taxed based system exclusively with no cap on taxed earnings. If a guy making 40K per year gets SS taken out for the entire year then a guy making 200K shouldn't get a reprieve either. There also needs to be an elimination of SS payments to any individual qualified to receive them with more then 200,000 in gross income. This will benefit all of us.

Amazing. It appears that the only America you want or like is YOUR AMERICA. Anyone who disagrees is a what....?

I might add that the post mentioned Fox only to point out a single person in that network.

While I opposed Trump, I posted here I hope he succeeds.

It appears that many are so "full of themselves" with this election, they throw facts, history away, and appear to think compassion is a weakness.

The only smug posts on here appear to come from those who supported Trump, not from the liberals. They continue to post concern, and frankly......what has really honestly knocked me off my game is high schools where kids are marking water coolers BLACKS or WHITES only. The attacks on folks of color OR just the appearance of being Muslim which began November 9, and are openly being tied to this election. If you are so naive a source to think there would not be violence in the street had Trump lost. You truely are not paying attention.

We better suck it up....get together....it will not matter if it is YOUR AMERICA, which you feel is superior or not, the divides of hate will eat up and destroy ALL of America, and guess what....America has more than one color, more than one religion.

I hope Trump succeeds with the economy, terrorism, trade, etc., but reading you folks on here...well, those issues do not seem to matter. What does matter to you, is to insure that YOU are in charges and everyone not like you in any way knows it.

I am not a fan of pigeon holing people, shutting people down because they are not like me...you people really seem to think that you, your ilk have all the answers.

I am a conservative Republican, so spare me the cute labels for liberals. I just happen to believe in America before the GOP, and do not look down on anyone because of how the look or what religion, etc.

The smug superiority on this forum is ambarassing

So, you believe that if you pay into SS all your working life, you should agree to forfeit that money for the good of those that were not as motivated as you? You think that one should work hard for others to enjoy the fruits of your labor?
By the way, no one would be getting "screwed" by going to the Thrift Saving Plan or similar. You don't lose any of your investment, but you stand to gain a lot. A lot more than you get from SS run by the gov.

Just to get what you said correct, you believe that anyone making over $200K per year should not have any cap on SS being confiscated from their income, but those same folks should not reap the benefit of their labor when they retire?

So, what happens when someone that retires finds that due to inflation $200K per year is at poverty level?

Not to disparage you because you are having an honest debate, but you do realize that what you advocate is tantamount to socialism, right?

No, but those of us that defended it for those spoiled libtards should have something to say in what the FREE in FREEDOM really means. And it does not mean that some sacrifice while others enjoy the fruits of said sacrifice.

A beggar does not get to demand how the rest of us gets to spend our earnings, and also has no right to demand a fair share. The beggar cannot demand steak when offered a PB&J sandwich.

You want to bring the country together again? Then quit disrespecting hard work and accomplishments. No one is "entitled" to anything except "life, liberty and to pursue happiness. But none of that has a right to infringe on mine or demand that I share mine. Most folks will willingly give you their last dollar if they see you in need. But if the gov demands that you give that dollar to the person of the gov's choice, it is no longer charity and that same person will go to war against you.

This is NOT an Obama Utopia where everyone sits around all day singing and their food miraculously appears when they are hungry. This is the real world. Why is that your feel that just because you want to take care of everyone else, that we should feel as you do? What an honest days work is worth is different to those that have to pay for it and how much they can afford to pay. Who are you to dictate what is fair and what is not? If you feel the need to take care of everyone else, then YOU open a soup kitchen and shelter. Why do you feel the need to force everyone else to do what you deem is the "right thing to do?" Spoken like a man who is not in any need.

There's a 99.9% chance he's a white man...that's what most of us do...we plan and save for the future. We make things better for ourselves and others. What's the minority men's claim to fame? Leaving kids behind to be raised by single mothers? It certainly isn't for creating, inventing, or building.

Are there unforeseen circumstances that can devastate a man? Sure there is. Sickness, divorce...but MOST can be planned for and mitigated.

Whites always seem to be better at planning than the minorities. They've NEVER had to plan. They lived a stone age existence up until they were found just a few hundred years ago. No written language, no wheel, grass huts, no agriculture. They're 50,000 years behind us evolutionarily.

White men are white because they evolved in temperate regions...temperate regions REQUIRE planning to survive winter, a skill the equatorial brown/black people didn't need to develop. One got smarter...the others didn't. Minorities have been moved from the stone age to a complex modern society. They're ill equipped to succeed.

The smug superiority is just a guise. When people tear other people down they think it raises themselves up from their inferior position.

Donny B....your IQ must have dropped a few points this hot summer.[emoji364] But I can see how the definition of temperate could elude you.

"Temperate means mild, moderate. If you're a temperate person, you are calm, reasonable. If you live in a temperate climate, it's warm and sunny, but not too hot."

If you are from Chi-Town, the only direction you can go is UP. How can we tear anyone down when they are already down there? Just kidding you Chi. :MOJE_whot:

I would have thought you would have addressed the points he was trying to make, instead you want to discuss spelling or one word used in error. That is as smart as you can be...

You AGAIN?

CHI...you slunk in after your brutal beating the other other day? If you weren't so IGNORANT, you might know that "temperate" is quite a large region and if you're living in the northern portions and haven't PLANNED for winter...you're going to die. Go to northern US or into Canada some winter without preparing, tell us how you fare. You may know ONE definition of a word, but many words have multiple meanings. Learn them before making a fool out of yourself.

What is a temperate climate?

Full Answer

"Areas with temperate climate lie between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Antarctic Circle in the Southern Hemisphere and between the Tropic of Cancer and the Arctic Circle in the Northern Hemisphere. Much of the United States and Europe have temperate climate. About 40 percent of the world's population lives in areas with temperate climate and experiences four distinct seasons each year. The spring and fall seasons are usually mild."

You really are an ignorant pompous ass with your boorish one liners, thinking you're so clever. You and CNM or whatever her initials are. You two should really keep quiet and stop proving how one sided and ignorant you are.

I did NOT use the wrong word...she doesn't understand what the word describes. Jumping in with her "gotcha". Well...I got her.

They have NO argument...that's why we're forbidden to discuss it. They ignore ALL the facts and cling to their racial dogma.

If it wasn't so important that we stop the minority majority, I'd give up.

Donny B. You crack me up. Don't hold back. Tell me about the brutal beating. Consult your notes. And explain how I'm a hypocrite. I don't understand why you would say that.
Here, let me help you with the definition:

Simple Definition of hypocrite: a person who claims or pretends to have certain beliefs about what is right but who behaves in a way that disagrees with those beliefs

Dirt,

Donny B's racial diatribe does not warrant any addressing. It would only validate his obsession. But I get what you're saying.

I'm on my Galaxy Note 4. Was going to upgrade to the 7 but missed the fire sale. The S6 is sweet.

Chi - I think ol Don has done his homework on his views. There is little to dispute with fact (other than his claim there are only mud shacks in Africa, because they do have multi story buildings).

I have had S4, S5, S6, and I have had an S7 sitting new in the box for probably 6 months or so...the S6 is working fine. My wife's Note 5 is really nice with the stylist, but the S6 definitely takes better pictures.

You said this: "The smug superiority is just a guise. When people tear other people down they think it raises themselves up from their inferior position."

You ARE a hypocrite, what do you think your "stinging" one liners are supposed to be? You described your own actions. It's what you do...

Oh, the guy who kept calling you out...he owned you. You hid. Like a frightened little girl.

Good day CHI, I'm not getting sucked into your woman's drama.

When you come up with something intelligent to say, we'll be here...spellbound...numb with disbelief. Eventually, we'll come around and reply.

Ok...I'm done with you now. Say whatever you wish, you'll be talking to the hand.

Lets move on...

Thanks for the reply. Only one point to clarify. That guy you are referring to was so angry that he wanted me to bring my portfolio to the police station and decide who's got a bigger one. He sent pm's that were obtuse, and I would like to share them for the entertainment value, but private means private. I don't know where you're from but in Chicago "being owned" is a little harder than feckless bluster or you would own me too.
