Not impressed. 6 out of 10. Parts hard to follow. Guess I better get the book.

Thanks for the review. Looks like it is also only at the Rialto.

On IMDB.com with 9,900 viewers so far, Arrival has an 8.5 rating. That's extremely high, but still a small sampling. For example another sci-fi film 'Gravity' with almost 600,000 viewers has 7.8 rating, and the 'Revenant', which I consider one of the best in recent years has an 8.0 from 450,000 viewers.

As far as Arrival, I sent the The Villages Theater people a email letting them know they've lost thousands of dollars. They've got The Dressmaker playing at Lake Sumter since Nov 4th and has only taken in $1.8 million in the entire world, and yet they decided to keep that and not put Arrival at Lake Sumter, and that film will probably do 40 times that amount just this weekend.

We both enjoyed Arrival. I really like Amy Adams.
We saw it at Brownwood --- love the seating there.

You are right the seating is quite good at Brownwood. Best in the Villages as far as leg space and comfort.

I really like Arrival. Big fan of Amy Adams in almost everything she does. Amy Adams - Rotten Tomatoes (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/celebrity/amy_adams/)

Went to the Brownwood theater last week and saw Arrival, I was not disappointed. On IMDB.com it has an 8.4 rating, which is incredible after 3 weeks. They're not wrong. Within 30 minutes of watching the film I was saying to myself, this is the best sci-fi movie I've seen since Aliens in 1986. It was actually scary at times and Amy Adams is the best female actress out there. I'm surprised the OP didn't feel the film was that good, I also had to explain a couple of parts to my wife. Think of the flashbacks, as flash aheads.

I can't wait to see Amy Adams in Nocturnal Animals, which unfortunately is only playing at Spanish Springs. I sent them another email and got a reply this time that they thank me for my input. I said the film Miss Sloane, even though it's receiving Oscar buzz is not a film that will go over big in a conservative community like TV. It's a film about a woman lobbyist who takes on the gun community (NRA). My email said that film should be at SS and Nocturnal Animals should be at Lake Sumter, swap places and you have the right locations.
