Annie Sloan paints are supposed to be able to paint fabric. Buy the original paint (not a knock off). Let me know how it turns out. Peace out..

Back in my craft days I would stencil on fabric such as for tee shirts and fabric covered photo albums.
I'd go ahead and give it a shot after some practicing so you become comfortable.

I have an outdoor lamp shade that I wanted to change the color, so I googled it, and it suggested that you need to add a paint "medium" to the acrylic paint that you want to use on the fabric. I did this, and had mixed results....I just may need to give it another coat because they suggested a foam brush, and it's a rough textured fabric. The other suggestion on the website was to launder the fabric before painting to remove the sizing....not sure how you could do this on a cornice. They seemed to think that sizing would make the fabric stiff, and the paint might not adhere properly. You could experiment with any cornice fabric remnants you may have.

I don't have any experience with Annie Sloan paints.

Good Luck!
