Last week I went to a seminar hosted by Dr Davis. The topic of back pain. I'm very interested in signing up but wanted to chat with someone who has already been to his office and experienced relief. I know my medicare wont cover the exams and x-rays so my first visit I will have to pay for, which is fine, but just wanted a non biased option. If you can help me at all please comment.

Well, I have gone to Chiropractors, all of my life, a LOT of them. There are good adjusters and not so good adjusters. We went to one of the Davis Seminars. Note in the paper, they have a solution for every problem known to mankind! Sure. Well we got the grand tour of the fancy electronic this and electronic that. After the grand tour comes the real meaty stuff,,,,,,,,,,,, Sit down over here with one of our specialists and prove to us that you have the big bucks to cover your experimentation processes. My thought is this,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Chiro gets out all his electronic toys, then shows me all of the toys and I go out the door! Chiro adjustment is movement, and adjustment. I was looking for R2D2 to arrive from behind the curtains. NO WAY

My wife was suckered into this after taking all of our payment the treatments did nothing for her. In fact her back problems are far more worse. We where told by pain management after consilting her CT scan xrays and MRI she should have never gone through that kind of treatment.

you used the word "suckered" what happened? Your wife got no improvement? his seminar did say 10% of people he can't help. Has your wife gotten any relief for her pain? what did she do?

I went to Davis Clinic back pain seminar because adjustments aren't working for me. I guess I need something besides a basic chiropractor. Can anyone help?!?

I know that conventional medicine can't fix everything, but alternative medicine has a much larger failure rate. If insurance or Medicare won't pay for it, to me that is a huge red flag.

Read some of those threads. Talk to a Orthopedic Doctor connected to the University of Florida Med School in Gainesville.

Try a real Dr. - one with a medical degree.
Neurosurgeon or orthopedic surgeon for starters.

I also recommend trying all the MD paths first. But sometimes they simply can't help. A good chiropractor or other non-MD source of help is sometimes the only recourse. No guarantees, but if all else fails, worth a try.

That being said, I have heard that the Davis clinic is rather pushy and makes claims that would be hard...or impossible...to achieve.

I went to Davis Clinic for a few (non insurance) covered "treatments". Please, please, please don't get suckered in. Find a legitimate chiropractor or physician and get bona fide treatment. Call Seniors against Crime, he has a record number of complaints. This is a business with the sole intent of making money.

After attending ONE of their clinics, saw it all. We cannot understand why the STATE OF FLORIDA will allow this NONSENSE and ripoffs!
See a LICENSED MD OR DO OR RADIOLOGIST first and see what they say. Go Professional, IT IS YOUR HEALTH.

Don't walk away from this golden opportunity to get your back adjusted - RUN AWAY FROM IT! You will save yourself thousands of dollars in advance payments that they will demand before treatment starts and that WILL NOT be covered by insurance or Medicare.

If you are simply looking for a good Chiropractor this is not the place for you. There are some highly recommended Chiropractors for simple adjustments.

I'm a physical therapist. I go to chiropractors once in awhile for adjustments. I don't want the Shake and Bake electronic treatments. Don't believe they are effective. I give a new chiropractic 2 chances to make feel feel better. That's enough to begin seeing improvement. I never buy "packzges".

Try Legacy Clinic of Chiropractic. They offer complimentary consultations and work with Medical doctors. I went in for what I thought was sciatica and the doctor identified that it was a muscle problem. He called a doctor they work with and told the doctor what to do. 20 minutes later I was completely out of pain.
