I think I know the answer to this before I ask, but is there a way to not see the classified ads, especially when viewing "New Posts" or "Today's Posts"?
I no longer use TapaTalk for ToTV, so I don't see the political forum posts any more since I'm not in the political group. But now New Posts are dominated by classifieds. Argh! :)

Wow. I just saw the Hide Classifieds button. Even though I thought it shouldn't be necessary, at least it appeared to be a half-way acceptable way to avoid the classifieds when reading New Posts...NOT!! Clicking on the Hide Classifieds button is a new search...so if you click it right after going to the new posts, you face a new screen telling you to wait 30 seconds for your new search. :ohdear:
Unbelievable. The technical issues on this site have been going on waaaaaayyyy too long and are becoming (have become?) unbearable.

It appears that "Designer" fixes one thing and then the whole thing breaks again.

This appears to be a complicated issue that was created when the security patch upgrade caused major problems. As reported in another post, this website had been customized for end user ease of use, and these customizations had additional problems wit the upgrade. I have sent info to the Admin directly concerned this problem, including screens shots as necessary. Hope they will be able to determine the root cause of the problems and fix soon.

Now the Hide Classifieds button doesn't work.

I clicked the Hide Classifieds button and not only did the classifieds NOT go away, but the Political Posts appeared.
Hopefully the TOTV newsletter will update when these issues are fixed, because at this point checking in at TOTV has gone beyond aggravating.

It might be appropriate to change the name of this forum from TOTV to TVCA (The Villages Classified Ads)

That would be funny if it weren't so aggravating! My Firefox Windows 7 view of TOTV has gone backwards. I can no longer hide classifieds.

I have the same condition. Maybe it's time to dump everything and start over ??
