Dear Guest: Here is the way William Buckley Jr. defined the difference between a liberal (Democrat) and a conservative (Republican)

Say a man is drowning in the ocean and yells for help. A Republican would throw a life saver out half way between the shore and the man so that he would have to swim toward it to be saved.

However a Democrat would throw the life saver twice the distance over the head of the drowning man and make him swim further out to retrieve it.

Buckley used a bit of humor to soften a position he had taken on the difference in political thinking. We desperately need more of that type of discourse.

As a nation's people we have to re-learn how to talk to one another in a civil, common and friendly manner. Competing voices are a good thing but very emotional overly biased and unfair comparisons are not beneficial to anyone.

The media are now realizing that their bias has resulted in their complete loss of credibility and that includes Fox Facebook, google, etc.

The social justice warriors marching in the streets have absolutely no idea or concern as to how Republic operates because they have been only taught to emote and not think, to hate America and not recognize the greatness of this nation, that despite it flaws it has always strive and eventually succeeds in righting any wrongs.

They narrowly view great men like Thomas Jefferson as only slave owners discounting the thinking of the time and the enormous contribution such men made to form this free nation.

And because they have never been taught to think globalist ( those special interest groups who want a single world order continue to manipulate these social justice warriors as their useful idiots

The America people would be wise to wake up and take notice of who your enemies actually are and it is not likely your neighbor .

Liberals can call Republicans anything they wish, describe them with any adjectives they wish, but one thing that is true today...........Republicans are winners. After the enduring last 8 years, Republicans deserve a little relief and the thought that America is not yet lost. While the left is moping, crying and comforting each other, the right will be attempting to put America back together again. The left has been told that Trump is bad and the right is evil, but Trump used to be a Democrat, has many Democrat ideologue views on issues and is probably less radical than many of the current left wing politicians and pundits. One thing that Trump has going for him that the left should appreciate is that he is willing to listen to both sides, not just limited to one sided views. Fight him and he will fight back, but talk to him and he is likely to listen. Unlike Obama with his radical view and know-it-all attitude and his talking down to everyone like they are HS students.
