Do you live here full time or are you a snowbird.

Would love to know the percentages.

We are full time.

You need more options, full time, part time(Maybe those who go somewhere for the summer), snowbirds, reverse snowbirds, and snow flakes. And households who have more than one category. :girlneener:

WHY do you want to know? Perhaps to read us carefully to know when we are here and we are not????? You have four posts. We don't give out info to strangers. Our mom's said not to.

Turn about is fair play. Do most people you know drive Chevy's or Mercedes?

Then don't answer. I didn't ask for your address, so how the heck would I know when you are there or not? Paranoid?

I drive a Nissan and a Yamaha.....and I am a FT Villages resident.

You are right, only 2 options isn't enough. We are "heat-birds", going away for the summertime, and a lot of traveling.

We consider ourselves full time. But last year we rented out our house here & went back 'home' to S. Fl for four months. It's cold here. But we aren't doing that again. We'll just invest in long underwear. So I guess we would be 'sunbirds'. Or 'snowflakes'. Just going to get away on a Caribbean cruise in Feb.

I don't understand all the angst over a simple question. It's not like anyone is being forced to give out their social security information.

Just answer the question if you want or don't answer it if you don't.

For what it's worth, so far the poll seems to agree with what I've ben told over the years. About one third of the people leave in the summertime.

WE, my wife and I drive a bicycle and/or an electric cart, you hardly know when we go by and so you can enjoy your time here. Thought we might be full time, but sort of re-looking at the options.

Great, now I have to change my locks, reprogram the garage door opener, change my wifi password, change the random timers on my lights, and hire an alarm company. :)

Actually, that is an excellent idea. Then I can add the other options people noted. I can also add options for people to list their address and daily schedule of when they are not home.....LOL! :MOJE_whot:

I am here full time until they carry me out. :D

My understanding is population swells by 35% during the snowbird season, (January through the end on March). Most leave after Easter.

Population is about 118,300 when everyone is here!

FULL TIME. Do not leave in summer. Love it, summer and winter. BIG FAN OF THE WHOLE SHEBANG. Think the Morses are all that and a bag of chips. Be careful of the ones that say they protect you against bullies.

She caved, so will I. Full time in 4 weeks. SS# 057-34-2237

Information About 057-34-2237
According to our records, the prefix 057 is a valid prefix from the state/territory of New York. Social security numbers have been issued with the middle two digits 34. So, this number is likely valid.
The highest group number (the middle two digits) that has been issued for 057 is 98. Keep in mind that the social security system uses an unusual out-of-order numbering scheme:
ODD - 01, 03, 05, 07, 09------EVEN - 10 to 98
EVEN - 02, 04, 06, 08------ODD - 11 to 99
This is all the information we have for this particular number, but here are several ways to obtain more details about this number:
Look up whether a social security number belongs to a dead person (and if so, whose it is)
Verify social security numbers online, courtesy of the U.S. government

Hmm...not sure what we are. Not full time, not really snow birds, we are in and out at different times. Definitely leaning more toward full time because we love it so much, but we like to travel too! Do not mind the summer heat, but like warmer climates in January/February.

Snow birds...6 and 6. This is not scientific in any way, but in meeting quite a lot of people over the years, I always thought it would be about 60 percent full time residents and 40 percent
snow birds. This is totally just a feeling I have. It would be interesting to really know.

Likely the northern areas of The Villages are inhabited mostly by year round residents whereas the newer sections down south around Brownwood comprise a snowbird majority.

Wouldn't it be easy to find out by just going to TV sales office. I think they could tell you about exactly how many live here. Also they probably could tell you how many single people live here, how many golf carts are here TV. VILLAGE GUY, there's to many people giving you silly answers here, they're taking this as a joke. I'm not trying to be funny, just saving you some embarrassment. Good luck getting your answer!

Why do all of that? Didn't you say you were fun time residents, you can gaurd your own house. The snowbirds are the ones that have to worry.

Many snowbirds and seasonal residents monitor TOTV closely from their homes, to keep in touch with what is happening in The Villages. I think the OP's question was fine. I don't think you need 8 different categories of "gone". You're either full time or you're not.
