I have eaten some "Swein haxen", "brats", "huhnchen" "Schnitzel" and of course "red cabbage" in my days.

My sister's in-laws are German and Polish so I do love German Food. They use to make home made sausage for all the parties.

I love sauerbraten and spaetzels. Throw in some red cabbage on the side, and I'm a happy camper! :pepper2::pepper2::pepper2: Some german restaurants won't do the sauerbraten though because it takes so long to make. (needs to marinate for a few days) Top it off with a good beer!:beer3:

Oh Schuler, I make sauerbraten. Five days in the fridge with a little gin berrys and a little vinegar and a little stick of cloves.

You touched one of my hot buttons, Talk Host. Since moving here I have missed having access to a German restaurant. If we get one I sincerely hope it is successful. I will certainly patronize it.

The location is Ocala and we had dinner there tonight I had potato pancakes with apple sauce for an appetizer. The entree was pork roast along with potato dumplings and red cabbage. It was wonderful.

They are joining Talk of The Villages as a sponsor this week.

I'm thinking about a June 20 TOTV night at The Schnitzel Factory. They will have German entertainment that night. Anybody interested?

Where is it going to be ??

It is on NE 14th Street in Ocala. about 25 minutes from here. The same length of time it takes to drive from the north of the Villages to the south by golf cart.

We are regulars at Weber's German Restaurant in Syracuse, NY. If this one lives up to Weber's, it will be the icing on the cake or, the gravy on the spaetzle, as the case may be!

My husband was born and raised in Kastl, Germany. We LOVE German food. The closes thing we have found to anything good is at Orange Blossm C.C. on Tuesday and the Dinner Bell on the way to Leesburg on 441/27.

I hope you are asking because you know someone who wants to open a restaurant!!!!! YES??? YES?????!!!!

We've been to this restaurant before...shortly after they opened. Was a little difficult to find the first time, but easy after that. Good food. If you're looking for ambience, it fell short, but we haven't been there in a while so maybe it's improved.
