The Village of Duval (and our TOTV friend, ejp52) is holding a charity benefit for one of his neighbors. Lou Anne Rest, who is suffering from Cardiomyopathy, which causes thickening of the heart muscle which reduces the ability to pump blood.

. . . a non-profit foundation that has been established by Duval residents to obtain the funds for an expensive medical treatment which is not covered by insurance. This group will be holding 2 events to help raise funds for this procedure.

The first is a Casino Night on May 29 at the Truman Rec Center, 6pm to 9pm and the tickets are $10 each. If you would like to participate in this event and help to give this lovely lady some relief, we would appreciate your contacting either myself or Eddie (ejp52) via PM and we will be happy to give you more information.

I will also post more information about this procedure and the other event taking place in June, but I wanted to get this posted asap in order to get tickets to those wanting to participate in time.

Please, help this group and show the support as we TOTV'ers always do. Thanks so much. Eddie and Kathie

Count me in!

I've already gotten tickets for you, Sue, DickY, Jersey, myself. That should cover us. I'm so glad this event has been successful in getting attendees. We'll have a great time.

Next event is a Pancake Breakfast. Eddie doesn't want me to post it yet, as we get closer. Stay tuned......

As a show of spiritual support, a short nondenominational prayer service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th, at 5PM at the Truman picnic pavilion. Won't you please join us? Please call you friends and neighbors to spread the word.

I've been following this story, and I'm so happy to hear that she had her procedure and is resting well. Wish I was there to welcome her back home to TV! It is very heartwarming to read about how her fellow Villager's stepped up to the plate to help this happen.

Well the mission is complete,LouAnn is back in the Villages, and resting.
She now needs to rest and let the stem cells build new heart muscle.
Thanks again to everyone for your interest and support of Fast Cure Foundation's fund raising events. :highfive:

That is great Eddie and I am saying extra prayers that those stem cells are working as fast as they can for a speedy recovery. You and your friends are another example of how everyone helps out in TV. Looking forward to our day when we can become a part of TV.
