According to the Tribune News Service a Gold Star Family on the way to collect their son's remains at Dover AFB were accosted and booed by the first class passengers when transferring American Airline flights in Phoenix to catch a flight to the east coast when the captain of the flight from the west coast asked that everyone remain patient and " Let a special military family exit the aircraft first " to make a needed connection. The commentary included " This is baloney " and " I paid first class for this ".
If this story is accurate are we starting to revisit the Vietnam era of fifty years ago or have we reached the point were the privileged think they have hired mercenaries to do their nasty jobs for them ?

I read the same article and apparently the passengers were upset that the plane was delayed, while the slain soldier's body was being loaded.
Gold Star father urges compassion after airplane passengers boo family (https://www.armytimes.com/articles/gold-star-father-urges-compassion-after-airplane-passengers-boo-family)
I think we all know, where the disrespect of Gold Star parents/family originated...and was made acceptable. :(
Uncaring, unsympathetic individuals if story is accurate. I do hope that if true, this event is more of a horrible coincidence of them being in the same place at the same time. Waiting just a few minutes for a grieving family shouldn't be a problem. So sad.

The article clearly said that the family was late to catch a connecting flight in Phoenix on their way to Delaware to collect their son. The plane wasn't delayed while the remains were put aboard and no one was booing that.
Your implication is full of holes.

The only person who says there was booing and hissing was the father. No one else has confirmed this. We all know things can be misunderstood or misheard when someone is grieving.

The first story I read stated the body was being loaded, the story I linked to doesn't say that so I am obviously wrong...if the linked story is correct.
The rest of my post...is dead on however.

Gold Star family exiting plane to meet soldier's remains is booed by first class passengers - Chicago Tribune (http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/ct-gold-star-family-booed-plane-20161119-story.html)
Maybe there will be more facts coming out about this. Just sounds like some rich or well off people not used to being second.

I am not surprised. Lots of folks now seem to think that they are "privileged"! They only care about themselves. Take for example, here in The Villages -- all the folks that seem to think they can save seats at the squares....selfish, "privileged", etc, etc, etc
