Thanksgiving is almost here. What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for. . .

A job with medical insurance coverage that enables me to pay all of my bills and even have money left over :). Last year at this time I had been laid off from the job I had from my long time employer, and I was sending out resumes and interviewing.

My dad's recovery from the stroke he suffered in December of last year.

My wonderful sisters who spent spent countless hours with my dad after he was discharged from the hospital.

Niece #2 who graduated this past May with a bachelor's degree in nursing, passed her nursing boards in July, then started a job at the end of July as surgical nurse at the University of Wisconsin hospital in Madison.

And in the scheme of things. . . a very small thing to be thankful for. . . the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series, especially for my Dad!

Well, I have to agree with Schaumburger, although I do have much to be thankful for, but the CHICAGO CUBS winning the World Series was pretty amazing!!!

1. First and foremost, I am thankful that my Lord and Savior has put up with all my shenanigans for all these years.
2. I am, of course, thankful for my family, friends, and especially my wonderful husband.
3. I am thankful that when we finally get to our new Village home permanently Jan. 12th, that I will not have to climb up a flight a stairs to my bedroom just to get something.

I am most grateful for my wonderful family.
My dear Husband of 34 years and my beloved
Son most especially.

Most thankful to learn that my Son and his Wife
are expecting our first Grandchild.

I am thankful for my husband who has made it possible for me to retire a bit earlier- and I will be off this Thanksgiving and every other holiday from now on.

I'm thankful for so much! My loving husband, my wonderful children and grandchildren, our wonderful country, the love of friends, and the opportunity to live in this great community. I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving, and may your blessings be plentiful!

The Cubs winning the World Series for my Dad.

The love of family, friends, various dogs and especially of hundreds of thousands of strangers for the work I have been doing over the past 26 years in January 2017. May the Force be with You.

The faith in God that he/she has given me a wonderful opportunity here in the Villages to be able to speak my mind and heart which I have been able to do here since July 2005 without much of a threat of a lawsuit or other calamity. Could not do that in Palm Harbor, Florida where we lived nine years prior to moving to the Villages.

My mind is still relatively sharp from reading, FunTrivia, writing, and other activities.

Thankful for God, country, the villages, family, friends....even the liberal ones, and our president.

Of course I'm thankful for friends, family and pets, and all the blessings I've been given including good health.
But at the risk of sounding trite, every year when we arrive, I'm thankful for free golf at over 36 golf courses. :gc:
