By stepping away from personally pursuing Hillary, Trump de-politicizes it while showing an independent and fair FBI and AG

He has no say in whether the FBI and AG go after Hillary, will they still?

Trump realizes he has bigger fish to fry. He has wars to run, budgets to write, 3996 jobs to fill, a replacement for the ACA to write so 24 million don't lose their health care, 11 million people to deport, a wall to build, what am I forgetting?

It's interesting he made this decision on the very day that the Trump Foundation was found guilty.

If there was something to pursue relative to charges against HRC, rest assured, he would. Since he's not you can draw your own conclusions. The "Lock Her Up" BS was just that!

The thing is that it's not the president's place to pursue prosecution. It's up the FBI to present a case to the attorney general who then decides whether or not to prosecute. Congress can also do investigation and recommend prosecution or not.

The president can, of course, direct or influence the AG which is what many people think might have happened in this case.

Once this administration takes place on Jan 22, if congress or the FBI does investigation and decides to turn it over to the justice department, this justice department might not be quite as lenient on Hillary.

Or who knows. Maybe Comey was right and there's nothing there.

Comey and the FBI's investigation lasted over a year. The republican lead congress held nine hearings on Benghazi. What would be an ample number of hearings or time frame?

Ample? Whatever it takes to get a indictment and conviction. We already know she is guilty. By her own admission, she broke the law. Saying you are sorry does not cut it. There's plenty of evidence. Enough for a first year laws student to get a conviction. Shoot, a cop could get a conviction with all the evidence available.
