Michael Savage (conservative talk show host) has been banned in U.K. It's a matter of time before it hits the USA. Why isn't Bill OReilly and Hannity standing up for Savage ? No 1st amendment attorneys have offered to take his case on. Why don't they ban Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson if anyone? He is outspoken on illegal immigration. He opposes homosexual marriage, he is conservative and if not familar with him pick up books "The Savage Nation", "The Enemy within" and Liberalism is a mental disorder. He is also on radio 7 pm to 10 pm on 580 am. Try him out if a conservative. Orgy of corruption going on and needs to stop!! We need to support Savage and the 1st amendment!!! cc

It is an incredible comparison to say that censorship will start here becasue the Brits banned one of the true pigs of the airwaves. What, are members of Parliament secretly controlling the members of the Supreme Court and our Congress? Or are aliens controlling them all?

C-chick, The Brits don't have the level of freedom of speech that we enjoy. The only reason that he survives here is the first amendment and his popularity. As far as O'Riley ET Al are concerned, I am sure that if there is a real threat in this country they will step up. I listen to Savage from time to time (I used to listen a lot). He has not been ingratiating at all to O'Riely and the other talk show hosts.

Don't agree with someone and call them a pig... hum. And they accuse conservatives of being intolerant. The left is always in favor of free speech as long as it agrees with their ideology. If not, you must be silenced.

In the US, you just get arrested if you express yourself.

For clarity, Michael Savage was banned from entering the U.K., and whether his radio broadcasts or podcasts get censored is another matter
The U.K., as well as the USA and most countries, has a "Do Not Enter" list for their immigration inspectors. Mr. Savage, for reasons determined by UK authorities, has been placed on that list, and cannot enter visa-free into the UK and is probably also banned from getting a visitor visa as well. Again, that is the U.K.'s lawful right.
The USA maintains a "Do Not Enter" list that also contains celebrities and common folk. Occasionally, one of the prohibitants gets denied boarding at a foreign airport, or is turned back once presenting him/herself at a USA Port of Entry for permission to enter. Contrary to popular belief, even if a person has a visa issued by the State Department, the person can still be denied entry into the USA by the Department of Homeland Security. It's the "check and balance" principle in action.
So, Mr. Savage can't visit London, Amy Winehouse can't visit New York, and Mr. Rushdie can't go many places. That's just the way of things in general, and definitely the price of notoriety.
