Best to find a owner/operator who actually cares. Just my 2 cents from a dog owner.

I use Pet Smart. The groom that you get depends on the particular groomer that you book with. The main reason that I like Pet Smart is because it is in the open and anyone can view the grooming being done. At this particular Pet Smart, my "favorite" groomer left recently so I can't give you a name......plus I also moved out of the area and will be using the local Pet Smart or Petco.

In the villages I had a bad experience with a mobile groomer. I will not name the groomer because I do not have proof. The vet told me she was choked by the chin strap (her neck was being crushed). I will never take my pup to any place where everything is NOT out in the open.

Petsmart contacted our old Petsmart in NJ to get our old boy's records that were necessary for him to get his first grooming. He loves the girls at the store and they are very sweet and caring with him while we are there. They have an option called a work thru where when they are done they sit with him instead of putting him in a cage. To answer your question, Barney our Boxer loves them and so do we!

Why do you say horrible? What is your complaint with them?

My pup loves it there. Have never, ever had any issues with their grooming, their caring, their price.

This particular pet smart is clean and all the groomers are very friendly.

Very busy hectic environment. I initially took my puppy there and while I found the groomers to be very friendly and caring, the environment for my puppy was too busy. She was too easily distracted. I am currently trying other places but have not settled on one yet. I will check out Paradise.
