I have been on youtube and I thought I would watch 'Stolen Valor' videos...

... this is what I think....

... the people videotaping are taking advantage of mentally ill people...

... I got to the point where I thought the people taping the videos were predators...

I did a lot of '...' but it was to get my point across. I am a 100% SC disabled vet and if I saw someone lost in the world I would give them a hand, not make them into jokes. I'd probably put my arm around them and buy them some food or something.

At least with what I learned in the military I was taught not to not take advantage of people. Protect, not make fun of. Plus, the people they are making fun of are Americans also.

What do you all think?

While growing up my father made it clear that real men never took advantage of those weaker than themselves.

When I was growing up we had a kid who stammered a lot and when the guys mimicked him I stepped in telling the guys to knock it off.

When I was growing up we had a kid who lost both arms trying to jump a moving train. We made sure he participated in every sport even when he demanded he be the pitcher...Johnny your throwing insiders, knock it off someone is going to get hit" Johnny went on to be head of social Services in our state and wrote many books published by Doubleday

You speak of the mentally ill. This is a group that is the most ignored and misunderstood in our society. Liberal policies actually work against them

I really don't believe my views are much different than most in our society as Americans in general are quite compassionate.

Personal Best Regards:

While it would be nice to believe that most people feel the same as you (and myself), all too often we see the real and ugly side of some of them when they are anonymous or think they are among like-minded others...such as here.

I too was always taught to stand up for the underdog, minorities and against bullies...hence my signature.

Standing up for the underdog and against bullies...every chance I get. :ho:

Good post.

Good post.

Let us not forget that with our current state of technology the few and or the isolated can be made to sound as thogh a general condition or consensus exists where there is only an isolated few or special interest or minority groups......most of which when taken into account as a part of the whole would struggle in the aggregate to represent a 5% (being generous)!!!!!

Let us not forget that your government does this to us too...it's called "manufactured consent" where they use the media to convince everyone that everyone else is thinking the same way. Advertisers, entertainment, they all do it...anyone trying to "sell" you something works hard to make it seem like everyone else is buying it...be it a product OR an idea. It's the basis of fads and hyping something to sell it.

A keeping up with the Jones' kind of thing thing. If the government, education, neighbors, all think diversity is good...it's hard to resist not thinking the same way...even though it's an obvious lie when really examined.

Social media is great for this type of thing.

Then there's hope for you yet...!!!

Baby steps...I'll get you there yet...I'll open your eyes. An epiphany awaits you!

Be aware though...once you know...you can never go back...you can never un-know...and it's a terrible burden. It's why knowledge is the ultimate sin...and ignorance IS bliss. This is the red pill...are you ready?

Have a great day...and remember...it's not personal...it's "business".

Let us not forget, that it is easy access to this technology and the ability to quickly spread lies and made up statistics (as long as it fits their bias)...that so many are enamored with.

Heck, how do you think Chump was elected? :ohdear:
