Me too! Would like to find a group of packers and singers to do more classic country and bluegrass/mountain music. Has anyone else responded to your post? Not interested in a burdening commitment...rather, getting together to play as schedule fits...same for gigging if it spins that way.

There are a some fun groups to participate in without "committing" to them. Here are some that I really enjoy:
Monday night Folk group; Tuesday night Bluegrass Practice Club and Wednesday afternoon Bluegrass Performance Club. They're all listed in the Thursday issue of the Villages Activities paper.

There is also the Monday afternoon Mountain Music group. I think it meets ar 1:00 at O'Dell rec center.
