We'll be moving into Hemingway in June. Think we have to notify authority that we will be parking our RV in our driveway for a day or two while unloading. Does anyone have the contact number for this.

You are permitted 48 hours I believe. Then they may come and ask you to move it. That gives you another day or two. I don't think you need to call anybody.

My suggestion would be to stay silent and as someone here once said "it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission"!

On move-in day we arrived in a rental truck, with a flatbed trailer attached, towing a small SUV. Not knowing when we would arrive, we called and asked permission to park overnight at the rec center...we live in Hadley, and had heard from TOTV that others had parked there.

Our call got transfered all over the place and the last person we spoke to said we absolutely could not park at the rec center, but had no other suggestions, other than to park the rental and trailer at WalMart!!! Overnight!!! Needless to say, even after a very long drive, we rushed to unload all our belongings in the driveway and garage so we could return the truck/trailer at the rental agency before closing. Moral of the story...don't ask! jackie

OR....perhaps let your neighbors know.....they will more than likely be quite understanding....that way you don't upset them from the very start.

If you want to call someone to let them know what you are doing....call Community Watch.

Why would you call community watch? That would be alerting them to come and pester you.

You are allowed to park in front of your home for 3 days to pack/unpack, however I would move it as soon as possible. It is a bit troublesome for your neighbors. We belong to the RV club and during our first meeting this subject came up. I would be careful parking on your driveway if your RV weighs very much.

Hi,

I have a related question.

We are hoping to move to TV in the near future and I am considering renting one of those PODS. Are they allowed to set in your driveway three days as well?

Is there a Village manual of some sort that details all the rules?

Thanks

I parked one in mine. I didn't ask.
