So how do you feel about the 42 year old guy with a domestic problem living in TV and having dynamite in his house. Is he one of the 20%?

Just for the record, this unsettling story was in the paper last week.

A man was arrested in a domestic dispute. The police went to check for weapons at his home and in addition to what they found, the wife revealed the dynamite. The police called in the bomb experts.

I thought I was moving into a 55 community - or at least an over 51 rule!!!!

You all REALLY think that age is a factor here? You don't think that people over 55 could have done this also? Read some police blotters, arrest reports, etc, plenty of over 50 people do stupid, illegal things too. Not condoning this, definitely don't want this kind of activity around, no matter WHAt the age, but please, don't get hung up on the fact that this person is 42, and that that is a contributing factor to the behavior.

I don't dislike young people. I just try to escape them when I come to TV. It is unsettling how they can still play tennis and don't have wrinkles and pouches and don't groan under their breath when they get up from sitting a long time. I know there is a 20% rule but I like to hang out with the grown ups.

Jump on me. I don't care.

I sure as heck don't like to hear about dynamite in someone's home no matter how old they are.

My first thought when I read the article was..."well, he musta married an older woman". My second thought was..."thank you God for giving me the neighbors I have"...then I read he was booked and released.... then I had a drink!

It's not the years....it's the miles!

I AGREE!!!!

That's right...and no matter what the age of a person is....we never know how many miles a person has walked...nor how hard those miles were..

However, in regards to the entire situation the article speaks to...regardless of age....it's deplorable!! Why would anyone keep dynamite in their home?

Well, I didn't read the story but if it was only a 1/2 stick is that any worse than the recent story about the guy storing a Model T car in his garage that was leaking gasoline?

M-80's are a 1/4 stick and I have gone through hundreds if not thousands of them in my youth. The gang use to buy cherry bombs by the gross.
