We need to have the battery replaced in an iphone 5s and really don't want to fight the crowds at the Orlando malls where there are Apple stores.
Has anyone had a good experience with a repair shop close to TV where we could have this done?
Thanks.

I did my own on an iPhone 4 with a kit found on Amazon. I also found a video on You Tube than went into detail on how to do it. It took me less than an half our from start to finish. No problems.

UBreakIFix (off of 466 in front of Publix) does excellent work, while you wait. I cannot recommend them more strongly.

I just wanted to make you aware that some I Phone 5's are entitled to a free battery replacement. You can access apple.com or google Iphone 5 battery replacement. The official apple site will give you the info you need.

There is a store in southern trace on CR 466 called Ubreak I fix. Lots of people have taken Phones there to get repaired. I'm sure they can replace the battery there.

I used them for an Apple IMac repair, and was very satisfied. Probably a little cheaper than the Apple store.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. After we did an almost complete drain of the battery and a full recharge, twice, it seems to be behaving almost normally now. However, I'm sure the battery will need to be replaced sooner rather than later.

Thanks........ I saw that as well, and entered the serial number for the phone, but it is not one of the phones that are part of the free replacement program.

Mine wasn't either. They said only small amount. I'm having battery issue too.

This is what is posted on the Apple web site:
The affected iPhone 5 devices were sold between September 2012 and January 2013 and fall within a limited serial number range.
It's been a couple of days since we tried the "drain the battery and re-charge, twice" idea, and the phone is working better. Nowhere near like new, but much better than before.
