Here's a new one, at least for me. As I'm typing, there is an ambassador wading hip high in reeds in an environmental area hawking golf balls. Above the law???? I report, you decide.

Maybe he's looking for snakes.

Maybe he's looking for snakes.

Maybe, but he came out with over a dozen balls. Round, white, dimpled snakes??????

Should be reported

These are the guys that will scream and threaten you if you dare to step into the bounds of these "environmentally sensitive" areas. I've see it happen more than once. Guess they don't want you to help yourself to "their" golf balls. With a lot of the reeds cut down for now, there are literally thousands of golf balls visible in Pelican and Heron, waiting for the "ambassador harvest".

I thought they paid a company to retrieve golf balls

I think you mean water balls. Maybe he will find one of those small (very bad) rattlesnakes in there. There is dumb and then there is dumber.

Nah, lack of judgement yup, but not worth getting too worked up about. He is going in the weeds at his own risk! Happy Holidays.

Don't sweat the small stuff, GE.

Again I heed a warning to you all. No sense retrieving a water ball because they become quickly addicted to the water and will search it back at the first opportunity

It would definitely speed up play if time wasn't taken to search and search for those water balls.

you're tattling. There's a difference. Yeah some ambassadors spend some free time hawking balls. They shouldn't, but they aren't holding up anyone. As for being in the environmentally sensitive area...a big no-no.

No, "tattling" would be telling you where, when and who he was---all of which I know. I REPORTED it (on TOTV) BECAUSE it was an environmental area and I was surprised to see him in there, especially about 20-30 feet in. I couldn't care less if he wanted golf balls, I was more concerned that I would have to resuscitate him after a poisonous snake got him, since the gentleman is 75+ years old. Good thing there is no penalty for jumping to conclusions on this site

Mine seldom need water in order to search for it. They come out of the sleeve addicted.

As much as every body loves freebies an Ambassador shouldn't be putting himself in a position that could result in a medical emergency from snake or any other critter attack. Besides snakes, alligators, and who knows what else remember ticks, spiders and fire ants will get your attention. So don't forget your nine iron and sand wedge for bush whacking!

It's a well-known fact that a range ball will always make it over the swamp. A brand-new ProV1 will not.
