We DO have tax returns from the Foundation, NOT HIS PERSONAL, but the Foundation....and....

"President-elect Donald Trump’s charitable foundation engaged in self-dealing in 2015 and prior years, the foundation said in an Internal Revenue Service filing.

That self-dealing, which typically triggers additional taxes for anyone who got improper benefits, resulted from payments to “disqualified persons,” or foundation insiders, according to the document. The document, which was the foundation’s tax return for 2015, doesn’t provide more details. Representatives for Mr. Trump didn’t respond to requests for comment Tuesday."

Donald Trump’s Foundation Engaged in Self-Dealing, IRS Filing Shows - WSJ (http://www.wsj.com/articles/donald-trumps-foundation-engaged-in-self-dealing-irs-filing-shows-1479829984)

It is from this Foundation that Trump paid Pam Bondi, but NOT to keep the state from prosecuting Trump University.

Two things......Mr Trump, I really want you to grow up and be President....STOP telling lies about your contributions and move on...secondly, release your personal returns...nobody czres at this point how much tax you did or did not pay but until you do, this is ALL we got and it does not paint a nice pic of your honesty and/or integrity.

Trump made the announcement on Christmas Eve when he thought nobody would be paying attention that he is shutting down his foundation.

Unfortunately for Trump, NY AG Schneiderman was paying attention and said not so fast Donald. It seems foundations cannot be shut down while they are under active investigation for committing fraud.

It seems that Trump was soliciting funds from others and using the money for his own purposes, buying portraits of himself and paying legal bills.

Just another example of the morals of the future leader of the free world. Hopefully, he will be ordered to return all the money to these unsuspecting donors.

Your blind allegiance to this man is disturbing...very much so.

YOU and many others were conned...as many tried to tell you.

BUT....I want to get on with governing.....if he can be a good President and do good things for the country, great......but stop embarassing your self with this kind of stuff.

"WASHINGTON — Donald Trump spent the past two years attacking rival Hillary Clinton as crooked, corrupt, and weak.

But some of those attacks seem to have already slipped into the history books.

From installing Wall Street executives in his Cabinet to avoiding news conferences, the president-elect is adopting some of the same behavior for which he criticized Clinton during their fiery presidential campaign.

Here’s a look at what Trump said then – and what he’s doing now:
GOLDMAN SACHS

Then: “I know the guys at Goldman Sachs,” Trump said at a South Carolina rally in February, when he was locked in a fierce primary battle with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. “They have total, total control over him. Just like they have total control over Hillary Clinton.”

Now: A number of former employees of the Wall Street bank will pay a key role in crafting Trump’s economic policy. He’s tapped Goldman Sachs president Gary Cohn to lead the White House National Economic Council. Steven Mnuchin, the Treasury secretary nominee, spent 17 years working at Goldman Sachs and Steve Bannon, Trump’s chief strategist and senior counselor, started his career as an investment banker at the firm.

Trump is following in a long political tradition, though one he derided on the campaign trail: If Cohn accepts the nomination, he’ll be the third Goldman executive to run the NEC.

BIG DONORS

Then: “Crooked Hillary. Look, can you imagine another four years of the Clintons? Seriously. It’s time to move on. And she’s totally controlled by Wall Street and all these people that gave her millions,” Trump said at a May rally in Lynden, Washington.

Now: Trump has stocked his Cabinet with six top donors – far more than any recent White House. “I want people that made a fortune. Because now they’re negotiating with you, OK?” Trump said, in a December 9 speech in Des Moines.

The biggest giver? Incoming small business administrator Linda McMahon gave $7.5 million to a super PAC backing Trump, more than a third of the money collected by the political action committee.

NEWS CONFERENCES

Then: “She doesn’t do news conferences, because she can’t,” Trump said at an August rally in Ashburn, Virginia. “She’s so dishonest she doesn’t want people peppering her with questions.”

Now: Trump opened his last news conference on July 27, saying: “You know, I put myself through your news conferences often, not that it’s fun.”

He hasn’t held once since.

Trump skipped the news conference a president-elect typically gives after winning the White House. Instead, he released a YouTube video of under three minutes. This week, Trump abruptly canceled plans to hold his first post-election news conference, opting instead to describe his plans for managing his businesses in tweets. “I will hold a press conference in the near future to discuss the business, Cabinet picks and all other topics of interest. Busy times!” he tweeted in mid-December.

A few weeks ago, I alluded to a book I was reading concerning Rev Jim Jones and the Jonestown massacre.

I basically said he (Trump) reminded me of
Jones.

This holiday weekend, an ex colleague of mine who is now in education made mention af an actual study done on the west coast by an expert in cults comparing the two.

This post reminded me of one part of that study. I share it with a link to the study

"Trump’s followers and surrogates have shown an astonishing capacity to shake off whatever previous facts they know about him and replace them with whatever today’s campaign spin portrays him as. Confronting them with facts and documentation makes no difference.

Ortega said, “You just can’t put that material in front of a true believer and it has any effect. And I think people are seeing the same thing with Trump. Trump creates this sort of field, this bubble, that the people inside of it are just incapable of seeing these things as those on the outside.”

Nelson wrote, “And though nearly 80 percent of the things he says are outright lies, he manages to pin the blame on the ‘dishonest’ and ‘biased’ media. Many of his followers, already distrustful of mainstream news outlets, accept whatever rationalization he provides, no matter how outlandish.”

‘Drinking the Orange Kool-Aid’: Cult expert says Trump is like Rev. Jim Jones — but far more dangerous (http://www.rawstory.com/2016/09/drinking-the-orange-kool-aid-cult-expert-says-trump-is-like-rev-jim-jones-but-far-more-dangerous/)

I fully understand that RAW STORY is a very liberal site, but the study is REAL, and thus are the comparisons. This was published pre election, and I post it because at least it gives credence to what I, and others have felt.

Don’t be fooled: Closing the Trump Foundation doesn’t solve Trump’s conflict of interest problems (https://thinkprogress.org/trump-foundation-closing-conflict-of-interest-problems-87a4f6848ed4#.8mg3s1hc1)

Even if the Trump Foundation could be shut down to avoid a conflict of interest, that would only be the tip of the iceberg to Trump disentangling himself from his for-profit business.

Unfortunately for Trump, these conflicts of interest are impeachable offenses. Hopefully someone gave Donald a copy of the constitution for Christmas.

Best I can find is this from a paper written about Jones...by the way, there are a few quotes I found from former members, but since Jones was an avowed communist and socialist, I would assume they would not like Trump simply based on that, but this apears to be a legit academic study....

"Before 2015, I was much more familiar with Jim Jones than I was with Donald Trump: I’ve been researching Peoples Temple for about 10 years and used to contribute tape transcriptions to the Jonestown Institute website. My recent familiarity with Donald Trump is like that of anyone who follows national news which naturally has been focused on the presidential race this year. Trump was unavoidable during the primary season; since he was formally nominated and, as Election Day draws near, he seems omnipresent. It makes me wonder if this is how Jonestown residents felt with the incessant blaring of Jones’ voice over the loudspeakers – sometimes live, sometimes on tape, but always inescapable.

And here’s the scary part: the more I hear Trump talk, the more he reminds me of Jim Jones. It is for this reason that I feel compelled to demonstrate how I came to this conclusion. Trump is not our country’s leader, and we should take steps to make certain he does not assume the reins of power. In my view, the last thing the United States needs is someone like Jim Jones as commander-in-chief.

On short notice..best I can do. The article mainly speaks to his fraud with charities, and mainly his ties with Scientology. I copied the below, but in the link are many other ties

"Donald Trump does not believe in science-but he does believe in Scientology, its tactics, truth twisting, and totalitarianism, if not its tenets. He cavorts regularly with its followers and sympathizers, utilizes the same fundraising scheme, and made one of his blue moon “charitable” donations to the Church of Scientology.

The COS is flush with cash and not above pursuing its goals by whatever means necessary including cozying up to politicians. How much it has donated to the Trump campaign is anyone’s guess because of the multitude of ways political contributions can be masked. Scientologists are not prone to identify themselves to outsiders.

This part of your link, hits the nail on the head.
Usually low-level government officials succumb to the allure of Scientology’s support and cash while higher profile politicos treat the COS like kryptonite, the source said.

“Trump is a different case. He likes people who praise him no matter who they are or what they represent.”

Isn't that the truth. Too bad for them, that Trump will be making positive changes and they will continue to find something that he did in business decades ago that they don't approve of. If it's not his hair, it's his color. And yet, they NEVER said anything about their half white messiah that believes that the police, the Republicans and the rich are evil. But, I can understand why they are sad. They don't have a champion community organizer stirring up trouble after Jan 20th. After all, progressive is synonymous with anarchy when it comes to the left.
