PS: Do not fear Herman Munster (aka Kerry). Even though he looks and talks (drones) like Frankenstein's monster, he is really just as boring as he appears and sounds.

Is the one state solution preferable to the two-state solution in Israel?

They'd BOTH like a single state solution...the solution being...the other isn't there any more.

Yes, if the one state is Israel. The so-called Palestinians are nothing more than remnants of the PLO terrorist organization. They should be carpet bombed and the whole area dozed for future construction.

Unfortunately if there were only one state, Arabs would far outnumber Jews and Jews would become the minority.

Arab Nations collectively have dominion over 630 acres to every single acre currently controlled by Israel .
630 to 1 . And the Arab States hold tremendous wealth . Enough wealth that they could easily hand every Palestinian the equivalent of $1 Million in US funds and hardly make a blip in their Sovereign Fund Accounts .

So why are the Arab Nations unwilling to solve the issue of a Palestinian State and the poverty of the Palestinian people among themselves ? They could afford to carve out a new State out of their many land holdings and finance the movement of the Palestinians
to a new homeland and make them all millionaires .

Why won`t they ? They refuse to because our Arab allies and Arab States that oppose us really could care less about the Palestinians . For them it is all about wiping Israel and all Jews off the planet .

So please those on the Left . Do you agree with Obama with respect to Israel ? Do you stand with Israel or with the Arabs ?

Oh and " Ta-pocket-a , Ta-pocket-a " for my many Progressive fans .

Personally I`m not fighting over religion . However no one was very interested in the land that is now Israel until it was carved out for them post WWII .

They're still ****ed over losing the Ottoman lands after WWI. That's when things got all messed up over there. They want it back.

Just like the Mexicans are still ****ed about losing the SW US...and are actively taking it back.

Either Saudi Arabia or Iran alone could provide for all of the Palestinians and refugees, but Muslims want Jews and the West destroyed. As does Obama.

While I shouldn't be surprised at the outright, purposeful and blatant lies the right continues to sling toward Obama...I at least thought a couple of you would try and research facts instead of believing fake news.

Apparently...I was wrong.

Obama has protected Israel MORE than any other POTUS in recent times.

But hey, keep lying and maybe the ignorant ones on your side (the vast majority)...might just believe you. :ohdear:

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/12/opinion/international/israels-unsung-protector-obama.html?_r=0

Remarkably, the assumption beneath those protests — that President Obama would be committing an unprecedented betrayal of the American-Israeli relationship if he did not block every Security Council resolution that challenged the actions or positions of Israel’s government — has gone unchallenged.

Yet it flies in the face of truth. Over seven years, Mr. Obama has not permitted passage of any Security Council resolution specifically critical of Israel. But a careful examination of the record shows that, since 1967, every other American president allowed, or even had America vote for, Security Council resolutions taking Israel to task for actions and policies toward the Palestinians and other Arab neighbors.

During Lyndon B. Johnson’s administration, the Security Council adopted at least seven such resolutions; in Richard M. Nixon’s, at least 15; in Gerald R. Ford’s, two; in Jimmy Carter’s, 14.

The number peaked at 21 in Ronald Reagan’s administration, when the United States voted in 1981 to condemn Israel’s air attack on an Iraqi nuclear reactor, a strike intended to thwart Iraq’s nuclear ambitions. That resolution also called on Israel to place its own nuclear sites under international safeguards. The Israeli cabinet responded that “with profound regret, we note that the United States, our friend and ally” had “lent its hand to the grave wrong done to Israel.”

Under President George H. W. Bush, the council adopted nine resolutions critical of Israel...

The number of such resolutions fell to just three during Bill Clinton’s presidency, which was characterized by promising Israeli-Palestinian peace efforts, and then rose to six under George W. Bush...

President Obama, in contrast with his predecessors, has completely shielded Israel from such resolutions. This fact is all the more striking given that his presidency has overlapped with governments that have been among the most right-wing in Israel’s history — governments that have continually and openly defied American-led peace efforts and American policy opposing settlement expansion.

So once again, simply by not going along with the hard-right of Israel on this particular issue (good for him)...Obama has been mischaracterized .

A two-state solution is the only real chance of even an uneasy peace, which is why the US has been steady in that direction through multiple Presidencies...from both parties.

It's like a dispute over adjoining landowners, who have been trying to work out a solution on disputed land and then before any settlement is reached...one of them decides to build their new house on the disputed land.

Let's hope that Trump isn't really as stupid as some of us think and doesn't give a wink and a nod to Israel...to start using small nukes.

THAT will be the beginning of the end and what the more intellectual world policy observers are deathly afraid of...for good reason. :ohdear:

Just what is the BS about as you say " So please those on the Left . " ?

If I remember correctly we the people of the USA no matter if we were Liberal or Conservative have stood behind Israel.
Didn't Obama agree to give them something like 38 BILLION dollars in Military aid in Sept.? Sept. 14 2016 in fact. That is the MOST Military aid they have gotten under ANY President.
I do not agree with what happened this week but some how or way the Palestinians like the Jews deserve a homeland too.
They are all fighting over a piece of land that they all had a part of back when Christ was born,
So Make that city a city state like the Vatican,
Now you need an Independent City / state manager who would take care of everything and have a state of Israel and a state of Palestine

Simple solutions for complex problems are for simple people. It's not a matter of standing with either side. What we all should want is a lasting peace where both sides can have their own government with secure borders. Both sides are to blame for this mess. Do some reading (not just right wing nutjob sights) and learn the viewpoint from both sides. Yes, I know, that will take time and energy but look on the bright side; if you make a rational comment, just every once in a while, people might start to take you seriously..... Just a thought.

Happy New Year

Yes, we should all sing the liberal theme song "Kumbaya."

We have about 300,000 Americans living in Israel, less we forget. How many in "Palestine?" Maybe Obie will apologize to the Muslms for our occupation of a small area of the Middle East. Build a d@mn wall and forgetaboutit. Quit making excuses for an inept poser in the White House. His intention is not to do well. It's to do the most harm possible on his way out. He is a disgruntled, resentful half-white, inept loser that is watching his tiny legacy slowly leaking out his little boat, because instead of patching it, he decided to waste his time on late night TV and golf courses. Happiness is seeing the rear bumper of the Obama moving van leaving the White House.
