Since about four days back, Direct TV subscribers who tune in to NBC or Channel 2 have been receiving message stating there is an ongoing dispute between Direct TV and NBC.

I for one watch NBC's Nightly News daily and especially value Meet the Press on Sundays, among other programs.

Best to be patient forba few more days, but if the dispute is unresolved after two weeks, I plan to change Provider, bjt who? Comcast?

Any commments or opinions?

Thanks

I think you may be confused. The dispute was between Direct TV and ABC (channel 9) and it is resolved. It has happened before and is always settled in a day or two

Yes, the dispute with ABC was settled. But not the one with NBC. I just chexked and fot same message: "The owner of this channel (NBC) has femoved it from the Ditectv line-up despite our repeated requests.... "

It's a multi location issue between Directv and Hearst owned stations.

I noticed on my most recent Comcast bill that the television and sports fees went up by $2 each. I called Comcast and they told me the network fees had been renotiated and this had been explained in their emails during the month.

I had no interruption of service and can afford the small increase by increasing my golf winnings (?).

I told them I usually don't read their emails. They said I should!

Score - 1 for Comcast, 0 for Sandtrap.

I'm not a fan of Government Regulation but the Cable industry has gotten out of hand as prices continue to climb. Customer Service is almost nonexistent no matter which cable company you decide to spend your dollars with.

OP, I recommend Brighthouse/Spectrum here in TV. I had Comcast a couple of years ago----terrible customer service. Spectrum just bought Brighthouse and I'm hoping the prices and customer service stays the same. I have been very pleased with Brighthouse.

Sadly, Brighthouse is not an option for most of us. You must live south of 466A to get it.

It looks like we will leave DirectTV as it is stupid to pay for service that is not provided! NBC is not a low level channel. They are counting on customers not wanting to bothered!! Liked Direct TV but not so much to overlook their bad service. Of course this all started just as AT&T bought them!:cold:

We also subscribe to Direct TV and NBC is always our go to channel. I called Direct TV today and they have no idea when or if NBC will come back. I am sure if they get it our prices will go up. We were with Comcast years ago and would not go back with them We are going to try Prism with CenturyLink since we already have them for our internet and land line. We live up near Nancy Lopez and can't get Brighthouse/Spectrum

I have Dish and have no issues.

Excellent service and one can go talk to their rep's on 441 across from Walmart, if they have pricing or other issues.

If you go some where else, what gaurentee do you have that a network won't dry the same thing on the other provider. Maybe that is why Arnold's rating were so low. But he was no Donald with his business accumen. I preferred the original Apprentice where the young people competed to be his apprentice for a year and learn the business.

We must hound DirectTv constantly, we bought our first system in 1996 when it first came out and it was install it yourself.

We had Direct TV before we moved here 3 years ago and enjoyed it. After moving to The Villages, we decided to give Comcast a try for internet and television and were NOT happy. We switched back to Direct TV a couple years ago and enjoyed it until lately. We now have our internet with Brighthouse / Spectrum and it has been wonderful. We may have to switch our television...
