I was riding home from great round of golf today at 1:30 traveling on St.Charles toward Sandhill/Buens vista. There there were no carts behind me, but a munns van accelerated alongside of me and made a right turn onto Tamarind directly in front of my cart .I had to slam on my breaks to avoid running into the side of the van. While I was unable to get the van number, I called Munns and gave them the time and location. Such drivers need to be made aware that our population is about to expand by 30,000 with a percentage of novice cart drivers at the wheel. My friend was killed at that very same intersection in 2010 when a landscaper ran the stop sign, killing him, less than a mile from his home. I always say a prayer at that place, and today it applied to myself. In the words of Hill Street Blues "be careful out there"

Remember , if you can see a trucks side view mirrors,--He Can't See You--hang back, especially if the vehicle in front is way bigger than you

Scarey! Yesterday, twice I nearly had an accident on two different round abouts due to the other driver. PLUS one of those vans (Signature Vans) that take folks to the airport was driving on Morse just north of 446a like they were unfamiliar with the area. She changed lanes (w/out signaling) and weaved between both until she made up her mind which one to go to, then turned on 466a going west. Once there, she didn't even speed up to the limit. We see driving behaviors daily (sometimes multiple) that endanger us. Good thing you were driving defensively!! Stay safe folks!!!!

Munns van driver had a CLEAR UNOBSTRUCTED view of me. Nothing behind me except the van who accelerated to pull in front and swing right onto Tamarind at the same time. Probably thought it was amusing

Munns service manager was very respectful and said he'd check GPS to determine the culprit. I explained the driver had no reason to have accelerated then turned in front of me. There was no traffic in front, nor behind, nor was I in a blind spot. My friend Frank Calhoun was killed in that same intersection in 2010 when landscaper ran the stop sign

Another good reason to drive defensively. You did EXACTLY the right thing to save yourself.
I feel that the service people are either on their phones or listening to directions to find a residence and don't watch for golf carts
