President Obama promised to redistribute the wealth and make us all a bit more equal and he continues unabated to that goal......

"The administration plans to seek legislation that would try to rein in compensation at publicly traded companies through nonbinding shareholder votes and by decreasing management influence on pay decisions."

NOT JUST THOSE WHO GOT THE BAILOUT MONEY....

Then, thankfully, we have folks who will fight....

"Business groups are daring President Barack Obama to impose pay caps on labor union bosses in light of indications the White House will limit how much corporate executives can be paid."

I am reminded of a quote....

"A Marxist begins with his prime truth that all evils are caused by the exploitation of the proletariat by the capitalists. From this he logically proceeds to the revolution to end capitalism, then into the third stage of reorganization into a new social order of the dictatorship of the proletariat, and finally the last stage -- the political paradise of communism." p.10"

What is wrong with share holders having input into structure of compensation for executives. Real life experience. My boss was will to make an expenditure of 6 million dollars involving refinancing of large computers at our data center in order to make his numbers for his bonus. The changes were nothing more than a shell game. I blew the whistle.. and got a package. WOW what a nice deal for me. But the way bonus' are structured drives behavior.. most of the time good ,,, but some tines bad. So shouldn't share holders have some guidance into what they want from their company.

of the company they have an investment in. We have some how been using that mode of operation for years....WITHOUT THE GOVERNMENT'S HELP (not sure help is an appropriate term for government involvement).

The real problem? Whether a stock holder in a company or a voting citizen of the USA...nothing gets done because most....the majority....that would be the silent majority....DO NOTHING!!!!

An ongoing testimony to the law called Paredo. That is 20% of the people do everything....vote....host parties...fight city hall...write their lawmakers...stand and be counted...dare to spaek against the establishment.

The other 80% just DO NOTHING to add or create value.

The scurge of the days we live in....THE SILENT MAJORITY....just will not participate.

Want proof of Paredo....just look at he membership of TOTV....in the thousands....and the participation....being generous ...in the hundreds (it is much lower than 20%). VERY TYPICAL.

A poll on TOTV has a hard time hitting a 100 responses. Hence the problem.

When ya just go for the ride you don't get to complain about the results.

Yep...It is like the bumper sticker I see around here frequently: "Either lead, follow or get out of the way!!!"
I was just thinking ( that could be dangerous:faint:) I bet there were only 20% of the people who went to the rallies to plot against the British over 230 years ago. Thank God for the people who really do something.....
