Gee - we will miss our oyster bar in Orlando - is there one anyone can recommend. I don't mean where you order a dozen - we like the bucket steamed lightly where they shuck them right in front of you. I am thinking we may need to ride towards the west coast like Cedar Key - anyone know a good oyster bar in the area?

I don't know but ever since the invention of Viagra, I don't look for oyster bars any more..

Believe it or not .... there is now a raw bar and wine hut right in the square at LSL!

Do they make you sign a waiver, like at the Rec. Centers? ;)

Here's a few suggestions from the local gourmet club:

JJ Fin's Dockside - Tavares
Ocean's Grill - Leesburg
Murphy's Oyster Bar - Ocala
Miller's Ale House & Raw Bar - Ocala
Boston's Fish House - Winter Park
Cody Jack's Restaurant - Clermont
And there's also the Magnolia Oyster Bar in Leesburg

That'll keep you busy!

Skip and all,

I am intrigued by the reference to the gourmet club. One of the things we miss most about NE is the abundance of local restaurants with freshly prepared foods. In TV we have found only Red Sauce. For a chain, Bonefish is very good, although we really dislike most chain restaurant food as it is all "prepared" food.

Do you have any other recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Kate
