Can someone please post the website for the Villages where the amenity payments can be made on line and possibly taxes and other Village monthly charges.

I do not know of an online pay system. I think you have to sign up to have them automatically deduct it from your checking account. That is the way I do it. Water, garbage and amenity fees are done by LSSA, Electric by SECO and Gas by TECO. I only pay the lawn care people with a check. The taxes can be done by credit card online but there is a fee so I send them a check in November to get the 4% discount..

Suggest you call Village Center Service Area at 352-750-0000 and they should be able to assist you with Amenity, Utility (Water & Sewer) and Trash payment arrangements.

For Taxes you will need to contact the respective County. Village Service Center should be able to supply you with who to contact and telephone numbers based on location of your home.

All our monthly bills are automatically paid through our Citizens chequing account .. easy peasy to arrange. Including lawn care, utilities, amenities, etc.

We also pay yearly bills (pest control, home insurance, etc.) by going online to our Citizens account and having them mail a cheque.

Like Caveman, we pay our taxes in November (in person) to get the 4% discount.

If you have a Citizens First checking account their on-line bill payment system is very simple to set up and use. You can pay all your bills by instruction, set up automatic payments that are the same each month and even receive some of your invoices via email. If the entity is set up for electronic payments they receive the money the next business day. If they require a check it takes about 3 days and you don't even have to pay the postage.

I've had them for a year now and have not had any problems. Easy!

Marion County tax collector has a web site to pay your property taxes online. If you pay by e-check there is no charge; credit cards use comes with a service charge. This is a good system because you can make the payment on the last day of October and get the 4% credit. Sumter County Tax Collector also has a web site to pay taxes online; but it looks like there is a charge for any kind of payment.

Zcaveman is right EFT' fund transfers. But you don't have to have a bank set this up. Embarq,Teco Gas, Sumter Electric, Comcast, and many others allow you to go to a paperless bills. They send you e-mail when bill is ready. The bills can either paid by e-check or credit-debit card with no service fee. The great thing is you can schedule the bill to be paid on the day due. No worry about late fees and they will send you an e-mail confirmation. I never liked bank's bill paying systems cause you are depending on some else to pay you bills; sometimes these systems aren't fool-proof. This especially great for credit cards bills. They send e-mail that bill is ready; I can schedule bill to be paid on the day it is due and no worry about late fees. This systems is especially great for people going back and forth from Villages homes to homes up North. Two great tools EFT fund transfers and Direct Deposit;before these became available we had to schedule trips around important bills and paychecks coming in the mail.

Agree completely - I used to use the bank to initiate payments but now all my bills are paid from the source who tap my checking account directly. I assume it's the same with the vendors you use in TV.

When I said to set up EFT transfers, I usually work with the company that I an dealing with. I do not set them up from the bank side. For my credit cards, I get an email nitrification and go onto the accounts and check the statements and then pay online with a pre-setup checking account at the credit card end.

For some accounts, I charge it to a credit card (Orlando Sentinel, Daily Sun, book clubs). For some reason that felt safer.
