Space Shot
Last I heard was that it's scheduled to go up Wednesday
Mallory Hill rec area is a great place to watch it if conditions are good
It's F16 fault they postponed it because he had to go back home to get his wife, boat and dogs and was away Saturday. Now he got his way (spoiled brat) I sure miss his wife, boat and the dogs:girlneener:

Leaving :crap2: Tue morning to return. Driving straight thru. And I did wish that the launch would be postponed until we're there. Yeah I know - watch what you may wish for....
Handieman I'll deal with you later.

According to the NASA website, at 8:00 AM this morning, they are still evaluating a Wednesday launch as there is a conflict with another scheduled launch.

Set your alarm clock.... NASA is shooting for a 5:40am launch of the Shuttle on Wednesday morning.
So, it'll be a 'night' launch ...much more interesting to see.
Hey 16....just keep driving and try to land in Hadleytown by early am so you and crew can catch it live.
Also, their schedule shows the weather satellite rocket lauch that was to have occurred on Wed now going off on Thursday at 5:12pm.

FYI y'all. A second launch is scheduled to take place the next day on Tursday at 5:12 PM for those that like to sleep late. It's a smaller rocket than the shuttle but it will be in the same area of the sky.

I'm trying to figure out what one wears at that hour of the morning? And, my street usually appears three seconds before launch, equipped with cocktails or wine. I'm looking forward to seeing what they drink at oh-dark-thirty in the a.m.!

Ok, Eddie, your on!! Will the warden be there? See ya at 5:30am, huh!?!? :cus:
This ought to really be an interesting launch.
At 5:40 AM it is still pretty dark. but sunrise is only 50 minutes away.
I figure as the shuttle rises, it will rise into the sunrise and the light of thrusters should give way to the reflection of the sun on the contrail(sp).
I WILL BE UP

Actually, east will get you in the area but look a little south of east if you are not sure. If you have an open view, you won't miss it as long as you are looking in the general direction.
