While Lewis certainly has a valid point, without any specific/scientific way to determine how much actual damage Russia's interference did to Hillary's campaign...Trump is sadly the 'legitimate' POTUS under our electoral system.

I want to go on record to prove that not all conservatives are insensitive to your grief. And I want to applaud your gracious acceptance of Donald Trump as your "legitimate" president.

And I am sure that when the left released Trump's illegally obtained tax return and the illegally obtained recording from over a decade ago, that there is no " specific/scientific way to determine how much actual damage" was done to Trump's campaign.

I guess it will have to suffice to say that we have had an unusual election cycle this time.

It's certainly not my personal "grief," it is this great country's loss...that Trump is POTUS.

But hey, talking to someone who hated Hillary more than they love this country and actually makes excuses for a Russian dictator...is pretty much useless anyway.

Truth be told, I'm actually looking forward to the next couple of years watching you and your ilk...try to spin Trump's man-child Tweets and actions. :D

Lewis sounds just like the golfers who insist on playing from the back tees, but can barely get it past the front tees, because then it is "real golf".

Trump tweets so that the biased media in any direction can't tell us "stupid public" what he said. The media is nothing these days but one big gossip wheel. Reminds me of when we used to play a game called Gossip. Someone would start by whispering something in someone's ear, and that person would repeat it whispering to another, and so on around the circle until it reached the last person. It was never the same as what the original was.

Bull.

ALL of his press conferences are recorded/televised so what you're suggesting in that news outlets would change what he actually said, is impossible...and you know it.

The real reason Trump tweets, is so that he doesn't have to answer questions...on his constant lying and embellishments.

No different than a chicken$hit sucker-puncher...that hits and then runs off and hides.

I'm sure sorry for your discomfort, but heck life doesn't always go the way you want it to.

You know as well as I that everyone enjoys deviating from the context of the statements made by politicians. Isn't it the left that always complains when someone quotes obama saying "you didn't build it, someone else did it." Not an exact quote but you know what I am saying. It happens all the time. And we all know that Hillary said "what difference does it make." Tell me that this quote does not instigate a heated argument.

Trump spent five years trying to delegitimize our current president, sending his detectives to Hawaii and saying they were finding amazing things. There were no detectives.

Guess what Donald, you've got five more years of being called illegitimate, then we'll be even.

In 1965 when Rep John Lewis was just about killed while crossing the Pettis bridge fighting for voting rights, Trump was in NYC applying for another deferment because of bone spurs in his foot.

Trump tweeted something like Lewis' district was crime-ridden, while just the opposite is true. Lewis represents the Buckhead section of Atlanta, one of the most exclusive sections with very up-scale shopping.

Could this be interpreted as a racist remark by the president-elect? Lewis is black, Atlanta is a predominately black city, so therefore there must be tons of crime.

We are so far past Trump fighting with Rosie on The View. As of Friday, this man will be walking around with the nuclear codes is his pocket. Hopefully he won't get them mixed up with his Twitter-twitchie finger.

Trump needs to step back and take a deep breath. If he had tweeted that 'I'm sorry Rep Lewis feels that way, and I'm looking forward to the senate's investigation into this matter and clearing it up once and for all' it would have been a one day story.

But Trump had to attack the messenger not the message (as usual) denigrating John Lewis, the civil rights icon and 30 year congressman, and his district and his constituents, on MLK week-end, with info that demonstrated he had no idea what he was talking about.

As a result, more and more congress people are lining up to announce they also will not attend Trump's inauguration. Trump is an embarrassment to civilized societies here and around the world.

Do the Democrats, especially those who make remarks like Lewis's understand what impact this behavior has on our image around the world? Does that not make us look like hypocrites? We try to tell them that this country's citizens electing our leaders is what freedom is all about, and that they should embrace the same for themselves.

Put your money where your mouth is. Don't do what you accuse Trump and others of doing: Saying one thing and doing another.

Like it or not, Trump won the election. Now, how about giving him a chance to either prove or disprove himself. Obama got two chances. He, too, was ELECTED. I didn't vote for him, but I didn't crawl off into a corner and suck my thumb, either. We, who didn't, have all had to make the best of it and hope for better days in the future.

I have voted since I was old enough and don't care whether you like my choices or not. They have all been mine. I have voted for Democrats, Republicans, and others. Have my choices always been good? No. Have they always been bad? No. I do the best I can based on what I see, not what I have heard from media know-it-alls, and not on what someone tells me that I have seen. Contrary to popular belief among some Democrats, I am educated.

He is the most thin-skinned person I have ever seen and for someone wielding the worlds largest army and nuclear capability...EVERYONE should be concerned.

Had Obama done even 1/10th of lashing out publicly on Twitter that Chump has done before he's even POTUS, he would have been excoriated worse than he was...for simply being black.

Grow up Trump, you're supposed to be a leader...not a 7th grade bully lashing out on the playground.

Lewis is being TYPICAL. He backed a loser for some idiotic reason that no one would be able to figure out. And that loser lost the election. Congressional Democrats HATED Hillary when she was a senator. Now, they suddenly back her, knowing she is a felon? Talk about being a radical and partisan biased. Lewis should just keep his mouth shut and try being dignified. He is a racist and his age is slowing down his thinking process. Listening to him was almost painful, waiting for the next word to tumble from his mouth. He may have been well respected in the past, but I am sure he has lost a lot of that respect in the past few years.

Go back to some of my earlier posts on other threads. I have listed the Federal Statutes dealing with mishandling of classified information.

By the way, when the Clintons left the White House, they stole thousands of dollars worth of gov property. They got caught and as a plea bargain had to pay thousands in restitution. Grand larceny is a felony. So, it's not like they aren't serial felons.

Hillary Clinton Stole $200,000 in White House Furnishings : snopes.com (http://www.snopes.com/hillary-clinton-stole-white-house-furniture/)

WHAT'S TRUE: The Clintons voluntarily returned or paid for some gifts due to dispute over whether they had been given to the Clintons personally or to the U.S.

WHAT'S FALSE: The Clintons were not "forced" to return any gifts, they were not found to have "stolen" any items, and the aggregate value of the objects in question was much less than $200,000.

No allegations of illegality were made, but the subcommittee's report recommended that the existing, overly complex system for overseeing the receipt, valuation and disposition of presidential gifts be overhauled.

Not true and we have gone over this before and you were wrong then also.

I never said anything about that $200K tale. It was more like $20K and they did pay back thousands in restitution. Call it a mistake if you wish, just like Hillary made a mistake when she used her private home server for classified information. "But she said she was sorry" so that makes it all better. Of course the Clintons have always been treated with kid gloves and given passes for their corruption.

“All of these items were considered gifts to us,” Hillary Clinton said in 2001, according the Post. She added, “That’s what the permanent record of the White House showed. … But if there is a different intent, we will certainly honor the intention of the donor.”

Your intent was to try and label the Clinton's as felons, when even by YOUR OWN LINK...it was simply a misunderstanding of what was 'public' versus 'personal' gifts were.

Speaking of reacting to every detail, then I guess that proves you are just like him! Sometimes when we are so intolerant of a certain characteristic in others, it is because we exhibit the same characteristic but don't even realize it. Once we realize it and self-correct, we tend not to be as bothered by it in others. Same goes for someone who professes to stand up for those who are being bullied.......often upon self-examination, they will see that, in fact, they are actually bullies themselves. It just gives the bully a more "righteous platform" on which to bully others.

Do you even understand the irony and hypocrisy of your statement..."than just reacting to every detail"...in that is EXACTLY what Trump is doing?

Just in the last two days alone, he has the whole world concerned that he might actually either be a lot dumber than he's been able to hide...or clinically insane with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. :ohdear:

My bet is...BOTH. :D

And this is what you voted for...to be the laughing stock of the world?

Hopefully, it stays in the realm of comedy and he doesn't get so pi$$ed and outraged at criticism that he decides to play out his childhood fantasies..with his now 'real life Army Men.' :(

I realize that's as close as you're able to come, to admitting that you were wrong and I was correct...but I'll take it.

No, actually, YOU were wrong. I was attempting, in a much more civil way than you usually do, to show your hypocrisy. Should have known you wouldn't get it.

Dear Guest:

You speak to your concern in a ridiculing manner as respects Trump and the nuclear codes.

However I recall recently where Joe Biden, VP spoke to this same issue, at a public forum, and then pointed to (outed) identified a man behind him who was actually holding the nuclear codes.

I remind you of your choice for president, utilized a personal server, even after being warned and was hacked by Russia, China, Israel

Congressman John Lewis (D-GA) swore an oath to this nation and yet he publicly campaigns and makes ridiculous allegations not realizing or concerned that his diminution of the president-elect is diminution of this nation. Yet the Black Caucus believes it is Trump who should call John Lewis to apologize.

People who disagreed with the selection of Obama grinned and bore it for 8 years. People who have no belief in Martin L King's holiday grin and bear it. People who have no belief in Quanza as a holiday grin and bear. What they did not do is create destruction/disruption, threats against people's lives, continual mocking and in some cases anarchy. Why? Because they are respectful, because they place country first and because they have better breeding.

My nephew married an accomplished woman PHD, concert pianist of Japanese extraction. I spoke with her about the presidential campaign and all the hateful rhetoric surrounding it and suggested that the world must be laughing at us. She concurred and added that the world outside of the USA as she knows it is also very sadden by what is taking place in America

Progressives are doing great damage to this nation and our enemies are taking note.

Personal Best Regards:

Of course Jan, (unt, Dave, Hippo(unt, and the Wackadoodle believe they know better than these people, throw in a "Faux News" to boot.

Don will have to wash his eyes out because he will not like what he sees. but if he listens carefully he might here some common ground. He will be compelled though to follow up with data in a post that explains how evil the blacks are to our country...

Excuse me, but I think was pretty darn civil to someone who can't even seem to understand...their own hypocrisy and irony.

I don't even come close to posting multiple times in every thread (I leave that to MLGBT, RubiTheCon, Don B, lardbutt and their ilk ;) ), but if I were truly like Chump...I would feel compelled to.

The soon-to-be leader of the free world, has a 6th grade vocabulary and can only attack while hiding behind a 140 character limit...so that he doesn't have to respond to questions.

Much like a sucker-puncher that hits people...and then runs.

So no, YOU are dead wrong and your attempt to spin it so that somehow I am equivalent to the POTUS, (while quite flattering in one respect :D ), is so far beyond the pale that trying to be 'civil' to someone who is obviously not too bright...is sometimes quite challenging.

More political theater...FOX getting blacks to agree to give Trump a chance...it's propaganda.

Any chance you have some data to back up your opinion (unt??

I believe Trump received an economics degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968.

Possibly you do not feel Wharton is a good school? The Alumni list seems to have quite a few successful people on it, well you know more than them...where did you go to school??

Poor stupid (unt...Thanks for sharing another OPINION mixed with some data from the Washington Post to boot!

Are you suggesting Wharton will give anyone a degree, even if the person is an idiot? Possibly you and Lewis feel it is an illegitimate school??

I noticed some data in quotation marks mixed with some opinion not in quotation marks...did you?

"The candidates' speeches mostly went from SEVENTH grade level for Donald Trump to Tenth grade level for Bernie Sanders"

You said Sixth grade...making you wrong!!

Of course it is...that's pretty much the limit for half the country...the minorities. How else to communicate with them? If you use "fancy words", they'll stand there like deer in the headlights. If he spoke like Lincoln...they'd be like...say what???

And then like you...they'll make up what was meant.

Do you REALLY think Trump writes his own speeches?

Where do they find the time? Presidents pouring over data to make the "big decisions", making the federal budget, writing their own speeches...they really ARE remarkable people! /s

Are they a woman? A minority? It happens all the time...part of affirmative action...lower the "standards" to the floor...and STILL "pass" them when they can't make it.

Ever notice how many "honorary" degrees famous blacks have? Why not real ones?

We're circling the toilet with this equality garbage. It must stop or we're heading down below #25.

There is no point in two black men trying to convince my of anything. Would you listen to two dogs begging for a treat?

I KNOW what blacks do to EVERYWHERE they go. EVERYWHERE. If you know of a majority black paradise...please tell me about it.

Blacks DESTROY. Diversity DESTROYS.

If you want to turn the villages into Wildwood or Leesburg...what do you have to do? What will GUARANTEE it will decline?

Minorities...the more there are...the worse the place is. It't like adding vinegar when cooking...a little goes a long way and not much is too much. The villages is what it is because it's white.

Dispute it! Don't just call me names. I AM a racist BECAUSE of their actions, because of what they do to EVERY PLACE they gather in large numbers. Be it a gathering, school, neighborhood, town, city, or country.

Diversity Destroys!

A black guy on Fox News talking to liberals? What's the point? He's preaching to the choir, there aren't any blacks watching Fox News...

Why do they have a black anchor? You should write in and demand they replace her with a white. Who would you rather watch? Her or a cute white woman?

I listened...so? The problem is BLACKS. EVERYWHERE they act the same. These two are the top 1% of blacks...the rest are NOT worth the trouble they are.

Blacks are NOT us. You do NOT want blacks in your party. It'll turn into the Dem party. They're needy, it's never ending. They ARE dragging the country down...there are just too many to support at the level they demand to be supported.

Like I said...it was Fox News...very conservative...they were preaching to the choir...they need to put him on BET if he wants blacks to hear him. Blacks don't watch Fox News.

AND...like I said earlier...you just plain don't want blacks involved. They DO ruin everything they touch.
