There are some truths that are universally accepted. In nature one is that day follows night and night is followed by day world wide.
When it comes to society universal truths become majority truths and contingent on social mores, customs, usage etc.
In this nation and in my life time infidelity was once believed to be a dishonorable endeavor by a majority. However mores from then to now have radically changed. Yet......today
Infidelity by a spouse may or may not cause one to furrow their brow. However if we present that same scenario with the added feature that the spouse being betrayed was on his/her death bed chances are a vast majority of onlookers would cringe.
Another universal truth is that people react in the negative toward other people who will not take responsibility for their own failed acts, blaming others; except if it occurs in the political arena.
This is the exact situation pertaining to the failure of Hillary Clinton to seize the presidential nomination. Hillary and company and progressives in general have not and will not come to terms as to why Hillary failed. They continue creating boogie men.
The Russian hacking canard is the most outrageous and untrue but even if true was Hillary's fault anyway.
Russia hacked Hillary's personal e-mail server and she continued utilizing it even after warnings by the FBI. So the nation;s leaders, including Hillary knew and had known for sometime that Russia had penetrated our system and hence forewarned is forearmed. As a sidebar in my personal view Edward Snowden provided the key that opened the door to the serious hacking conducted by Russia
Progressives in turn also blamed Comey's action because of his on again off again behavior. The truth of the matter is that objective observers understood the politics of Comey's motivation (ie pressure coming from the White House.) Neither was it lost on objective observers that Comey could not serve two masters but there he was doing so by creating a factious burden of proof as a means of a red herring.
And it was not lost on objective observers that the information hacked on the DNC servers was factual and did not bode well for Hillary and company. Referring to my above remarks of forewarned why didn't the DNC effect better firewalls as did the RNC who experienced attempts but failed hacks.? And why would Hillary people be so irresponsible as to make such admission on their e-mail when a first grader knows the internet is anything but private.
We add to those situation a dismissal Obama legacy and a rejections of the progressive party platform and we have a recipe for failure.
For the record I would suggest the same objective analysis of Trump and Company. Personally I find fault with his childish tweets every time his feelings get hurt. He must remain above the fray as every president has his pit bulls to do his dirty work. Its a failing on his part and a major distraction. Let his press secretary spank the liberal media and Hollywood divas.

I would agree with your assessment. It may come to pass that Trump falls in line. I hope not and I voted for Trump because I believed he was recalcitrant enough to push back against the ESTABLISMENT (PROGRESSIVEW, CONSERVATIVE, GLOBAL, INTEL)
My point in this thread is that the silent majority was awaken perhaps more like concerned after 8 years of a hyper-partisan liberal collective that was moving this nation to socialism.
This ESTABLSIHMENT never believed Trump could pull it off but they underestimated his message and his message was directed to the average Joe on the streets be he black or white C You know the deplorables.

I agree with you. Trump will fight anyone, regardless of party affiliation. That's one of the reasons he got elected. Of course, the establishment elites on both sides are out to sabotage him, but only according to their agenda. They will use him if they can.

IF Trump is truly a rogue...A, he wouldn't have been elected. and B, he'll be "Kennedied"
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. He'll scream and yell that it's Congress or the Senate blocking him...all the while the looting of the treasury will continue. He'll borrow and spend like a mad man. His friends will get rich. Those who pull the strings, the men behind the curtain, will get richer.

Dear Guest:
I believe Trump is the real deal. But more importantly apparently those in power do also and that is why the Establishment and their useful idiots are revolting and doing so with cold war tactics. These same people know that Trump is actually going to drain the swamp.
The State Department after learning of Trump's election became so unglued running for safe spaces that the department underwent a learning course in dealing with stress. This is the Department that is responsible for easing stresses in our foreign policy..THE IRONY CANNOT AND SHOULD NOT ESCAPE ANYONE.
There is no doubt that Trump's opponents will continue to interfere in anyway they can to delegitimize Trump, to stop him and /or to frustrate every policy decision he makes.
Those that voted for him voted for those changes.
The one concern and admonition raised by Newt Gingrich is in my view valid. Trump and his Administration cannot default to being reasonable. He cannot because he will not accomplish what the voters demanded of him. His opponents will view it as a weakness
Trump is correct in calling this a movement and the stakes are high for America and Americans
The Universal Truth here is that once again society is at a crossroad.
We see it in America, Europe, the Americas. People want a return to law and order. They want an end to corruption and being dominated by the political class who only seek self interest.

I choose the label for this thread as "Universal Truths" because it most societies certain behaviors will all receive the same response or nearly so.

Indeed what makes Trump good makes him bad and that applies to all of us. The same motivation that causes him to tweet getting him in hot water is the same motivation that drives him to make policy decisions, etc.
Those that voted for him voted for those changes.

LOL...where to start?
How about I just address your last sentence...as that says it all.
You voted for Trump because he isn't one.... "who only seeks self interest." :22yikes:
The thin-skinned narcissist, who corruptly cheats small businesses and has to put his name ON EVERY SINGLE THING HE TOUCHES...isn't interested in his self interest?
Oh the irony and hypocrisy. :ohdear:
Good luck while you spend a LOT of time trying to defend him in the next year...you're gonna need it.

Trump has made the swamp a far more dangerous and much bigger place. And he just put a Russian bear into it as well which is eating pretty good.
I do have some hopes for Ivanka Trump who actually seems like a good caring person but we will see. And I really expect Trump to be impeached rather quickly as well. He has made far too many very powerful enemies and given them way too much to use against him.

I don't...I think he's one of them...playing a reality role.
I think they're pretending to revolt. I think it's political theater.
He's not going to drain anything. You REALLY think ONE MAN can take down a SYSTEM with thousands and thousands of corrupt crooks? REALLY?
Women and minorities NEED "safe spaces" because they're not equipped to handle what white men can...it's genetic.
BOTH sides do that...BOTH sides "obstruct" the other. It's more political theater, more divide and conquer.
He won't accomplish what you expect because he doesn't work for you! He works for the people who put him there. The rich and powerful.
He called it a "movement" to get you on board...it's political theater. The stakes ARE high...VERY high. The fate of the nation IS at stake. This IS probably the last chance to save "white america", the amerixa of Norman Rockwell. Don't let it slip away...get rid of ALL the illegals here now AND their "illegal" anchor babies they left behind. They're quickly becoming the MAJORITY. Stop them before it's mathematically too late.
Then WHY did you choose ANOTHER D or R from a corrupt party? You had four other choices besides KNOWN corruption from the D and R parties. You chose continues corruption. You once again listened to the sweet lies of "change". Lies are all they are. Any changes will benefit THEM, the political and wealthy class. It's how it ALWAYS goes.

Well well well...we agree. Now, if only you'd use that SAME cynicism on YOUR candidate. You'd see that ALL high level politicians are the same...me me me. They're ALL narcissistic psychopaths. Bent on power and wealth.
When you defend Hillary...I get that same feeling...Oh the irony and hypocrisy.
Maybe you'll start to see the truths in other thing too...baby steps...too much too fast and you'll need to visit your safe space. I need to put away the sledgehammer and use a small pick, taking away ONE lie/delusion at a time.

Lots of conspiracy theories. Maybe what you see is really what it is. And that is how Trump won, saying it like it is. The rest of the establishment elites are just trying to save their plush seats. They are used to directing from the rear area, behind the lines and Trump is now making them join him ON the front line. A bunch of them are scared. They did not know that when they enlisted that they would actually have to get dirty fighting the war from the front line.
