I was at breakfast this morning with golf group and someone said that Bob Evans on 466 was going to close to provide parking for the assisted living (or whatever that new construction is). Is this true? I don't remember seeing anything here on TOTV or the other news site or in newspaper.

Sorry I don't know the answer but I've heard that same thing. Maybe we can get a valid answer.

Bob Evans owns that property and it is assessed at 1.3 million. My guess is that no one is going to pay that kind of money for additional parking.

Again, I am skeptical. It is always full at Bob Evans when we go there. They have to WANT to sell it and there isn't anyone who can MAKE them sell it.

Not on the land issue, but we just ate there this afternoon. It was very good, the service was attentive, and it was clean. We will be returning. Of course, we are form Ohio ans have been to Bob's place in Gallipolis OH.

I would expect that Bob Evans would greatly benefit being adjacent to the assisted living facility. Can't imagine they would sell out when their revenue would most likely increase.

I had breakfast there Monday and asked the waitress that very question. She said definitely "no", they are not moving. Probably a rumor started by someone who has too much time on their hands!

This particular Bob Evans seems to be a very high volume store, and not very likely to close or move anytime soon. I would think the assisted living facility being built next door would be required to have adequate to ample parking planned to get approval from the county before construction.

If they want the property they will offer enough for it and greed will take over.

If turning the restaurant into a parking lot were the plan, the deal would have been done before the first shovel hit the dirt.

That would be bad. First Perkins then Bob Evans, no place left for Sunday after Mass Breakfast.

Sorry I don't know the answer but I've heard that same thing. Maybe we can get a valid answer.I asked my favorite Bob Evan's waitress whom I see weekly. She laughed and told me , "No way." She added that the restaurant on 466 regularly sets sales records for Florida.
