The house and senate should lose their health insurance until they come up with and pass a viable plan. It should include no prexeisting conditions and be non-cancelable An icicles change in hell of this happening.

The house and senate should lose their health insurance until they come up with and pass a viable plan. It should include no prexeisting conditions and be non-cancelable An icicles change in hell of this happening.
A VIABLE plan? Covering preexisting conditions? Non-cancelable?
It'll cost a family of 4 about $6,000 a month.
WHY is health insurance so different than homeowners or car insurance?
If you're careless and like to leave the house with food cooking, you've burned down a few houses already...WHY should your homeowners insurance be the same as people who are more careful? Why should THEY be FORCED to subsidize you?
If you drink and drive, speed, drive recklessly (call it a preexisting condition), WHY should your insurance be the SAME as everyone else's? Why should THEY subsidize you?
Same with health insurance...I already told you an average person living to 66 will use about $1 million in "healthcare costs". That works out to a monthly payment of $1,250 EVERY month...all 800 of them just to equal the $1 million used. A family of four will use $4 million in their lifetime...REQUIRING as a MINIMUM $5,000 a month...EVERY month...just to pay the actual costs...not including administrative costs and profits.
YOU CAN'T COVER EVERYONE at an affordable rate.
You can't cover 50 million poor on the backs of the few workers that are left. You can't subsidize "multi million dollar per year" preexisting conditions. Some people REQUIRE more and therefore should pay more. The obese shouldn't pay the same rate as a fit person. A heavy smoker or drinker shouldn't pay the same rate as someone who looks out for their health.
The ONLY way to make it "viable" is with death panels...for the newly born who won't get lifesaving, for the rest of their life, expensive treatments. And the old who are living on bought time. Many people use over $1 million in healthcare costs their last year of life. Money futilely used to gain a few months of suffering.
Give people the right to die in dignity and you'll save a ton of money. People know when it's their time. Their children are the ones who don't.

I want that kind of auto insurance. If you have an ailing car, just use your insurance to make it all better. Preexisting condition, YES!

Anything they can come up with is better than Obiecare. Too many folks are dying because of the extreme cost of Obiecare. Deductibles are so high that they are not taking their children to the doctors for treatment because they have to pay the first $4k-13K before the insurance helps them out. Better to get rid of the mandate to begin with, if nothing else. If the Republicans had the time, they should LET Obiecare implode this year like predicted so that America can see how the whole scam was to have it fail so that Hillary could get her single payer socialist system implemented.
Just repeal the monster and worry about replacing it later. We were better off before Obiecare.

I don't get it. If people are signing up for Obiecare as you call it and not using it then why aren't the insurance companies tripping over themselves to be the provider instead of opting out ? That sounds like a big profit scenario for the insurance company to me.

A family of 4 MUST pay $5,000 a month from age 1 to 66 JUST to "pay for" $1 million worth of health care for each of them in their lifetime.
To put it in other words...it takes $1,250 a month every month for 66 years to add up to $1 million. Anything less than that and the insurance company loses money.
People who have healthcare costs of hundreds ot thousands a year, should NOT be insurable. What insurance company should have to pick up someone who is guaranteed to cost you more than they pay in premiums? If their medical bills are $100,000 a year...for life...what insurance company wants to pick them up for a few thousand a month in premiums?
The country WILL go to "death panels" it's inevitable...medical care WILL bankrupt us further if something radical isn't done. You can't just add 50 million people on the backs of the other 50 million.
The question is...IS healthcare a right? Should government provide it?

If the gov wishes to take care of those with pre-existing conditions, that is one thing. But, to insist that a private business provide services that it does not wish to provide is just gov tyranny. Why should health insurance be told what it MUST provide? What if I told a Jewish grocer that he must provide pork in his store? What if I told a garage that it must provide an oil change when someone pays for a tuneup? Maybe all health insurance should be mandated to provide dental and vision care. The gov just wants private industry to fail so that it can take control. And that is the reason the far left wishes Obiecare to fail on it's own without Republican attempting to fix it.

And you PAY for them. They didn't "add them for free". And that's what you want...things added for free. How can the insurance company pay for your future bills if you don't contribute enough to cover it? Someone else does...their premiums MUST go up to cover the cost.

What if I had an accident every day because I don't give a damn because I have "great insurance" that is cheap because YOU subsidize me? What if I'm costing the insurance company $20,000 a day? For life...because I refuse to drive safely. Should my premium be the same as everyone else's? That's exactly what you want...EVERYONE pays the same "low rates" irregardless of how much they're costing.
A "preexisting" medical condition is like a habitual drunk driver...they're going to cost the insurance company more. You're just trying to socialize everything. It shouldn't be done that way. You cost more...you pay more. And expecting an insurance company to cover you when you have a condition that costs $20,000 a month is insane. YOU cover the cost or you die. It's how it must be. We can't afford to be spending million per person on healthcare.

Is your health care all taken care of now? Are you and your loved one covered? If through no fault of your own and after working a job and a half or two full time jobs your whole life you ended up disabled. Do you think Obamacare would be a good lifeline for you? Do you choose to sit in your tower and look down at the little people? I was sitting next to you wishing the government would stop giving handouts. It's not a handout when you have a major event in your life and you need a hand when you can't provide anymore. So take your mathematical mental masterbation and stick it. Obamacare saved us. 1, Are you willing to, if,a healthy person decided they would rather not pay for insurance, is in a car accident they should not bet medical care unless they show they have a PERSONAL SAVINGS ACCOUNT which is enough to cover the estimated bill?
2. Do you want to say go to mcdonalds and be served by a person with TUBERCULOSIS, HEPATITIS, POLIO.
3. Have YOU chosen to turn down MEDICARE? You feel you have earned it. The fact is our government has spent the money you were forced to pay into social security. The difference between what YOU/WE pay for medicare and the TRUE COST is being added to the national debt.

Read my lips...we can't afford to give everyone good medical care. It's prohibitively expensive.
Every $1,000 the 50 million poor receive in medical care, costs the taxpayer $50,000,000,000 ($ 50 billion)...are they worth it?
It may have saved you...it's saved others. But there are probably 45 million who DON'T deserve it. They DIDN'T work 2 jobs their whole life. Many NEVER had a job. Welfare queens, pumping out kids...
Go to the welfare office...very few white's there...mostly minorities or white girls with a black kid.

When you are in the water circling the drain and it looks like your life preserver may be taken away it is not easy to accept. Yes, I do strongly believe that health care coverage should be a 'right'...of ALL American citizens.
Many of those who are so quick to want to send our sons and daughters to foreign countries, to put their lives on the line for THOSE citizens (or simply to flex the muscles of the worlds largest military)...turn a cold and blind eye towards our own citizens.
It's this kind of selfish, ignorant, warped, cold-hearted and disgusting thinking... that so many on the right seem to embrace.
I am also convinced, as exhibited by a number of posters here on TOTV, that a big component of that attitude...lies in bigotry and racism.

What if the government told the auto industry they had to provide safe airbags in their autos before they were sold in the US? Oh, wait........ they do. That dam government wants the us auto industry to fail.
And by adding those airbags, the cost to the consumer went up, and less people could afford a new car. Other countries do not mandate air bags or safety glass. Right or wrong, the gov insists on dictating what they feel is good for us, regardless of whether or not their assistance is wanted or needed.
Like Helmet laws and seat belt laws. Both are common sense to most folks but some do not care for their own safety and do not wish anyone else dictating to them what they must do.
The more gov overreach we have, the worst our national debt is going to be/climb.
And to your point, YES the more regulations there are, the less we can afford the changes and the worst off business is. Most of our tax revenue comes from the wealthy and business, so the more you punish business, the more debt we have. And the less we can afford to pay the way for those that either refuse to work or those that can't work.

Taxing to pay for government spending...how quaint.
They just spend and then borrow to "pay" for it. Over $1 trillion each year. Trump will borrow/spend even more.
All those regulations...they're there to give one individual/corporation an advantage over another.

I remember now why I stopped coming on this thread. The anonymous thing gives people beer muscles. How this turned from my medical care to where it is now is a damn shame. I surrender, you win.

I shouldn't be forced to pay for your healthcare. You shouldn't be forced to pay for mine. How is that for staying on topic?
If you want insurance to pay for your healthcare...you shouldn't expect them to cover you IF you have a condition that costs much more than the allowable premium. To be FAIR, the premium would have to be your monthly healthcare expenses PLUS an amount equal to your future risk and expenses. If you're taking $5,000 a month in drugs, how can you expect a policy that's less than $5,000 a month? WHY would you expect me to pay the difference between your actual medical costs and the highest allowable premium?
Talk about being selfish and uncaring. The h3ll with what WE want to spend our hard fought money on...YOU need it more than we do.

.I am also convinced, as exhibited by a number of posters here on TOTV, that a big component of that attitude...lies in bigotry and racism.
Yes, you are convinced anyone that does not agree with you is a racist and a bigot! You push every subject matter to race and bigotry...

I don't PUSH it into anything...it's usually the REASON for the problem. We're trying to insure over 50 million mostly poor minorities. It can't be done. NOT without huge premium increases or government spending. For every $1,000 they spend...it cost's the taxpayer...because they DON'T pay "tax"...$50,000,000,000.
Minorities are destroying this country. As always happens...they're bankrupting us. Half the country is now "dead wood", a drag, not a positive. Half the country receives SOME form of government assistance.

I have no problem helping anyone who truly needs it.
When those who don't need help ride the system, there is a problem.
When they can drive better cars than many out there working their butts off everyday just to be able to pay what is required of them, that's a problem.
When they can spend their money for cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, body piercings, tattoos, the latest electronic gadgets, high-dollar sneakers, etc., that's a problem.
There is much complaining about wait times in the ER. Really? Many of the aforementioned are the biggest contributors to those wait times. THAT, I have seen first-hand. Also, strange how those wait times dramatically shrink over some of the holidays. Guess those abusing the system have better things to do then...like party?
Why expect them to pay for such mundane items as healthcare insurance? How mean and unfeeling of us!

Never shed a tear in 60 years over helping someone else. I thought it but never spoke or wrote it in a forum. No matter what your financial status is I hope that life doesn't throw you the knuckleball that we got. I think it was a great point about racism. Fortunately that does not include me. If I keep on reading this thread I will be using my healthcare today. Very upsetting. I'm just going to keep doing my best and hope for a miracle. I don't smoke or drink or gamble either.
