I had dinner last night with friends at the Bonefish Grill. It was the first time there for all of us but we had heard mostly good things and entered with anticipation.

We arrived at 6:00 with a reservation and although the restaurant was crowded our requested booth was open and waiting for us. The server was very pleasant, humorous in a respectful way and very knowledgeable about the menu and the different sauces. We shared appetizers, Bang Bank Shrimp with a sauce that was described as "spicy". We men didn't think it was but the lady in our party passed a shrimp about two inches above the sauce cup, kind of like you do with a very dry martini, and declared it too spicy for her. We also had the Maryland Crab Cakes and they were superb. They must have been 100% crab with no breading used as a filler. The lady in our party grew up in Maryland and declared these some of the best she'd had.

Our entres were all fish with us men having rare Ahi Ahi which was perfectly prepared and presented. This is one of my favorite dishes and this may have been the best I've eaten.

We spent a long time eating slowly and talking a LOT. Out server was always within nodding distance but never did he come to our table unnecessarily or disturb out conversation. A true professional.

As stated before this was my first visit to Bonefish Grill and I was delighted. It certainly plan to dine here frequently.

Another thing that I learned completely by accident is that at Bonefish if you want to order an item that is not offered on the dinner menu, but which is on the lunch menu, you can order off of the lunch menu, even during dinner hours; makes a great option when you are not wanting a large meal at dinnertime.

Hi FreedaClark and everyone;

Perhaps Bonefish Grill used to be open for lunch but it's not now. It doesn't open until 3:00 p.m. but I suppose if you haven't had lunch yet you could certainly call it so.

Since they are owned by Outback I think that is the company norm. At least up here in MA I know that Outback is not open for lunch except on the weekends (Sat at 3 - Sun at 1).

There were five in our party in a recent visit to Bonefish Grill. The Villages residents agreed that this was the best meal we have had so far here in TV.

It asks for your birthdate as well as your anniversary. So that is probably it.
