I just dropped off my SO at the Sanford Airport and it was an absolute breeze getting into and out of this airport. One of the main airline carriers flying in and out of Sanford is ALLEGIANT AIR and they fly non-stop to may aras on the east coast and mid west at discount prices that donot show up on the main travel sites when looki9ng for airfares. Suggest you go to

I have a friend flying into Sanford at 10:30am and out of MCO at 1:30 to get to Puerto Rico for a cruise. Does anyone have info on how to get from one airport to the other. It was a mistake and now they have to figure out what to do. Thanks, Karen

They would get on the 417 to 528 which goes right into the airport. It is clearly marked. The 417 is the Greenway and about a mile down on Lake Mary Blvd (the road Sanford airport is on.)

That's good directions if they have a car:) I think the point is that they are flying in and need to make good time between the airports to make the connector.

Do they have a shuttle perhaps?

Of course by this time they've already missed their flight! But the info would be good for future concerns.

Allentown is where my SO flew into on her way to Scranton...$29 an $49 return but by the time you add in "convience fee, seat assignments, baggage, taxes, and whatever else, the $78 flight was over $150 RT ...still a pretty good deal.

Sorry. I forgot to say it was in October. So, if anyone can help, we are still interested in info. We are also flying to PR but our flight leaves MCO at
10:30am so even if we have a car, we can't help them out.

A 3 hour connection.......check on limo service or cabs as chuckinca suggested. Taxi/limo might cost but the connecting time is important. good luck.....

Don't forget they have to get though security and a flight out of orlando doesn't allow last minute check in of baggage, baggage must be checked in 45 min before the flight and you must be at the gate ready to board 15 min before flight time.
So they might want to ship a bag direct to the destination. We did last time we had a flight with a tight connection. With the airlines only allowing one carry on these days and charging for bags, it costs to ship one but not alot when you think of the agrivation saved.

Just a thought.

We might be flying to Rockford Illinois, so this airline sounds great. One question is about parking a car at Stanford. Do they have parking, and is it expensive?

Above is a link to taxi/limo/shuttle companies listed on Orlando Sanford International Airport's Web site.

Here is info from the Web site on parking: http://www.orlandosanfordairport.com/parking_info.htm

Hope it helps!
