I turned on the news this morning and was greeted with this. Paraphrasing the essence of Obama Health Care I heard....
Taxes will have to be raised significantly to pay for it.
Current treatment options will have to be reduced greatly.
There will have to be cuts in the current Medicaid program.
I took notes because of occasional senior memory lapses so I'm pretty sure this is what I heard.
......and how is this plan a good thing for taxpayers and age challenged adults?

Don't worry about it. The way things are going, it would be no surprise to hear that proposed "reforms" to Medicare were influenced by Dr. Kevorkian.

or all other...if you do not understand that the proposal will water down your current coverage (let's just focus on those of us over 65)....then you are either a staunch democrat-no matter what, apathetic, naieve or out to lunch.
I have asked on several previous threads if you think your benefits will remain the same when the uninsured are given lessor benefits? That simply is just not going to happen. There will be a new program rolled forward that will state what coverage you will get under the new plan. It will be the same coverage the uninsured will be getting and yours will be a shadow of the coverage you had previously. And you will of course have the option (I am assuming) to opt up for a price to get back to where you were.
If that does not inspire the silent majority to raise up and contact their representative, then as usual, you deserve what you get. In your contact, insist your representative and all government employees be forced into the same program...:1rotfl:....good luck.
Maybe the sheer cost of the proposal will doom the plan. However it did not deter any of the jokster porkulous bail outs to date (that have done nothing).
To the point they are beginning to discuss what the next one will cover.
It is time for a reaction from the people.....AGAIN!
